heyyy,

i only got 2 ear piercings, one on each ear, and im planning to get some more.

first, im thinking about getting my "seconds," which will result in me having 2 piercings on each ear. how does that look? (well, i guess it really depends on the person right..:)  )


i also need heads-up on how to take care of the piercings after i get them pierced. i got my first ones pierced like... 6 years ago i think and what i remember is pouring/squirting this... transparent liquid stuff on the holes. i got mine in korea, and in korea, when u pierce ur ears, they give you like this solution. i think it's used to clean the "wound" so that there wouldn't be any infections. oh, also, i didn't take my earrings out until like... 3 weeks after i think.

but right now, im in indonesia, and im trying to figure out some other way - good and safe ways - to take care of your piercings (ears) after you pierce them.

also, when do you take them out?

 * ooh yeah, im also going to get a navel piercing, but here, they do it while you're standing up. no beds lol. is it BETTER to do it while laying down or does it not matter whether you're standing up or laying down? cuz i heard about how if you're standing up, your upper stomach sort of slurps down and that sometimes it'll be hard for the person to pierce the exact spot... i don't know, fill me up lol.

Oh yeah! I'm getting a navel piercing soon! Navel piercings are hot.

If the place where you get it peirced is any good proffesional piercing shop they should give you after care procedures and also tell you/give you what you need to keep the peircings clean.

You should keep lobe piercings in for atleast six weeks before you first change them.

They should look alright, i don't think i've ever seen someone who doesn't suit it.

hmm.. i see i see... but for most people, do they use any solutions or anything like that in specific after they get piercings??

I have two peircings. the people where I got mine are awesome. You have to clean out the peircing with an antiseptic soap that has no fragrance or anything twice a day.prefferably everyday for at least two months. Also everyday to help with pain and swelling soaking the peircing or spraying it with a sea salt and water combination really helps.

if the place doesn't give you a cleaning solution most people use a form of saline solution - 99% water 1% salt, you can buy it in pharmacys and shops or make it yourself by boiling some water and adding a tiny amount of pure sea salt or mineral salt a teeny tiny amount. use cotton buds to clean them about twice day. 

ok I have 10 piercings all together..4 in each ear ( thats 8), then my navel ( thats 9) and my tongue. most piercings u clean with a no fragrence antiseptic soap. I bought a big bottle of dial and i use it on 9 of my piercings and still have a halfa bottle. Now if u get ur tongue pierced u need to make sure u use mouth wash it really helps.

the navel is very popular but u have to clean it at least 2 x a day. u have to. it can easly get an infection. now the 2nd ear piercing is very popular and if u get it done right i wont look bad at all. Now i would suggest getting ur navel done when u can go and get it where u can lay back. its easier 4 the piercer and it calms u down. plus u dont want to make a sudden move when ur standing,,,may i say ouch..good luck

and yes, i think i'll agree with you =) i'll rather get my piercing done while im laying down!!!!

I'd recommend something called Hibiscrub (may not be spelt right). It's used post-op and kills all the bacteria. It's red so looks a bit nasty around a hole lol but it works. I used it when i had my lip pierced.

 

 

i have two piercings in each ear and last year got my tragus pierced in my right ear.  when i got the first two holes in each ear, i went to a chain store in the mall and they gave me a specific solution.  i got my tragus done at a tattoo/piercing parlor and they gave me sea salt to mix into my own solution at home.  they won't leave you with nothing- they'll at least tell you what to buy.  they'll also tell you how long to wait before changing the ring.

not sure about the belly button piercing, but i know i'd prefer to be sitting/laying down for any piercing just so i don't accidentally move!  hahaha, i'm kind of skittish around needles.

Be VERY CAREFUL if you have your navel pierced while standing.  I did.  I hadn't eaten that day (so my blood sugar was low) and that, combined with the pain, caused me to pass out.

I woke up on the floor.  Scary. 

So like I said - be careful.

Navel, industrial, many in my lobes, starting to gauge my ears too.

I had my nose pierced with a stud, and I loved it. But, I had to take it out for work, and it just healed up. :(

how come you didn't eat the day you got your belly pierced?? did you just not have an appetite or was it because of the pain? i've never passed out in my life before, and im pretty strong, so i think there's a very low chance i'll pass out =)

the only problem is thath ere, most of the piercing shops are... not very "clean" they're like... ghetto lol

I have had over 65 piercings including implants in my life.

The best advice.....talk to your piercer. Everyone's body is different.

then don't get it done there, simple as, its not worth the health risks, trust me, my friend ended up in hospital after getting her tongue peirced in a dodgy place.

like i said before any reputable peircing shop WILL give you aftercare advice and probably even the soloution, although this may cost a bit more. If they don't run a mile seriously.

I also have two piercings on each ear and really like them.. to clean then when I first got them done, I found that hydrogen peroxide (like 88 cents at Walmart) works just great.  I just used a q-tip to try to get the new piercings nice and clean.  I have no idea about a belly button piercing, but I'd like to get it done someday (when I reach my goal weight maybe?!) so I'd like some advice too!

i have a ton of piercings. 3 in each lobe, 2 in my cartlitge on each ear, my tragus, my conch, my nose.

ive always been told to use antibacterial soap. liquid DIAL that you can find anywhere. It works. :)
