The pill + multiple periods

I'm on the pill, but I keep getting my period every two weeks. This has happened 3 times in the last 6 weeks or so and I'm getting utterly fed up. Does anyone know why this is happening to me?

I will make an appointment with my GP...but still argh... :/ 

It's probably just because you're not on the right pill. How long have you been on it? If you haven't been on it for more than 3 months, it could just be that you're body is still adjusting. If you started 'the pill' at a time other than your period, you'll have more break through bleeding (the term for what's happening to you). See your doctor, you probably just need to try another brand of 'the pill' as each brand has different hormones and levels.

I remember when i first started taking the pill that happened to me...but your body will ajust give a little more time I know it sucks getting your period like that...in the mean time you are right to go get checked by a Doc. I'm on that seasonal pill, I only get my period 4 times a year which is awesome....but every so often I get it in between.

It is the "lowest" of the pills I think...so maybe it's not right for me.

I had been on it before and it worked until toward the last few months I was taking it when I had this problem. I went back on it recently and the first month was fine, then started with the 2 periods a month again.

Triphasic (sp?) pills do that to me. Monophasic pills don't. The difference is that the tris have three doses of hormone (different each week), and the monos have one dose that stays the same all month (except your off week). Have you tried both types?

I'm on the monophasic pill...I've changed to a "stronger" hormone so I'll see how this goes. :)
