I like Pine nuts..they are really tiny and I use them as a snack because it takes time to shell them. Are they good or bad to have while trying to lose weight? I end up eating 10 - 20 of them every day ( 10 nuts = 12 calories according to CC)

I am on the last 5 pounds of my weightloss goal and having a hard time to get rid of them, so I want to get it all right.

If it worked for you so far, I don't see why it shouldn't now.  Since the last kgs are the hardest to lose, try to workout a little bit more.
As long as they're within your caloric intake, pine nuts aren't hurting a thing. Sure, they're high in fat, but it's good fats. The fatty acids found in raw nuts will improve your skin, your hair, and are a much-needed nutrient for your muscles.

Thanks for your replies.

Sounds good. Although I will try not get overboard with eating them and stay within a reasonable limit. Good to know they are good for the body. In the meantime I will also keep my search on for good snacking options those which keep my mouth busy while im studying.

I wouldn't say that carrots have a better 'nutritional profile' than carrots.  They are from completely different food groups, thus their profiles can't even be compared!

Nuts are like a miracle food. They have good fats that actually improve your health.

So, enjoy your nuts!

try fresh ground almon nut butter.better. More fiber and texture .try mixing it with yougurt with cinnamon ,cottage cheese with cinnamon, or sprout sour dough bread with little cinnamon in it. I used to sprinkle cinnamon on pretty much ever thing . It helps  me  to manage my blood sugar( some one say it  helps  the people  with diabetes since it thins the blood sugar., Myth????, I don't know but it supposed to help diabetics .)

If  you must have the pine nuts, try grinding it raw  , grind bround or white  sweet rice(or mix half half) add water add a poinch of salt, Stirr it on the stove like a risotto/ porridge, in  a very low heat. (ith asian condiments like soy sauce/sesame oil/chilli powder/diced green onion, ground ginger'garli.) It suppose to help with lungs  and especially when you are recovering from sickness or even rainy days! Anytime is good. It suppose to sooth your stomach/ And skin& beauty
