Recipe Ingredients for Pineapple Bars

2 cup Crushed Pineapple
1.5 cup Chopped Dates
3 cup dry Old Fashioned Quaker Oats
1 cup Wheat Germ, Toasted, Plain
16 tbsp Coconut Unsweetened
7.75 oz Chopped Walnuts
10 fl oz Simply Orange Orange Juice Calcium Fortified
4 tbsp Coconut Oil

Recipe Directions for Pineapple Bars

  1. Combine pineapple and dates in saucepan and cook on medium heat until thickened, stirring frequently.

  2. In a large bowl, mix oats, wheat germ, coconut, walnuts, and salt.

  3. Stir in juice and oil.

  4. Press half of oat mixture in a greased 9x13 pan; spread pineapple mixture on top, then sprinkle the rest of the oat mixture on top. Press down slightly. Bake at 350 for30 minutes or until lightly browned.

  5. Cool and cut into 32 bars.
