Piney Ridge and Missouri Lakes

Two of my favorite hikes around Vail, CO, lots of good memories on these trails :).  They're both fairly easy hikes and both between 4-7 miles depending on where you start.  On the Piney Ridge hike, you can hike up to Piney Falls which are beautiful little waterfalls within lots of trees and when I hike the Missouri Lake trail, we go up to the head of the upper lake.  I've actually jumped in the lake before last July and the water was so cold I almost couldn't breathe, but it was amazing (and the water is crystal clear--you can see rainbow trout swimming around).

Missouri Lake was my first hike in Vail, so that's why it's my favorite (and my boyfriend and I had our first kiss at the head of the lake, cheesey I know XD).
