i work at a pizza call center. i'm eating pizza tomorrow. i was thinking that i'd get a 6" thin crust pizza w/ chicken, tomatoes, spinach, green peppers and mushrooms. i think i want to go cheeseless too. i'm not a big cheese fan anyway so that shouldn't be a big loss. i was just wondering though.... how many calories do you think are in it? can you think of a better pizza alternative?

I run a pizza business in Texas and I would sometimes struggle with the same thing. Now, I try to lay off pizza as a whole. But, when I have to eat I tend to lay off the sauce. The pizza sauce is where a lot of the fat is. Our sauce has a lot of parmesean cheese, oil, and countless other things that are just not healthy. If I were you, I would use either a small amount of pesto sauce(if available), or no sauce at all. Thin crust is always better seeing as you avoid the carbs. We use 100% wheat flour and make our dough fresh daily so the dough is not that bad for you actually(at my place). As far as calories:
With tomatoes, chicken, spinach, green peppers, and mushrooms- I would say probably in the 300-400 range. But, it also depends on how your dough is made(pre-made is always worse for you).
The cheese is certainly to be avoided when you can. We have low fat cheese, and we carry soy cheese so every now and then I can use some of that. Anyway, it would not be my first choice when eating healthy, but it's not going to ruin a diet.

I could never work in a place where you serve food! I would be overweight if i did. If u want to lose weight i advise u not to eat any pizza at all and if u are going to dont eat the dough just the toppings.
wow, i had no idea the sauce was bad for you! i just think of the way i make sauce at home and assume it's all fairly healthy. gotta remember that.
i don't actually work at the pizza place-- i take the orders. i'm no where near food. no food in my building. hahaha. i had no idea the sauce was bad either! i always thought that was the good and healthy part and the cheese was super fatty and the bad part. hmmm.... makes me rethink pizza. that was the first time i had it in about 2 years. it was delish. from now on though, i'll stick w/ my chicken salad for the most part :)
