Placinta ardeleneasca cu cartofi (Transylvania potato pie)

Recipe Ingredients for Placinta cu cartofi

1 tsp Salt, Table
1000 grams Wheat Flour, White, Cake, Enriched
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
1000 grams Potatoes, Boiled
700 grams Water
1 oz Yeast

Recipe Directions for Placinta cu cartofi

  1. Mix the flour, water and yeast into a dough. Mix it for 20 minutes, slowly adding the oil.

  2. Leave the dough for 15 minutes on a table.

  3. Spread the dough into a thin layer.

  4. Mash the potatoes with a bit of oil.

  5. Cut the dough into pan-sized portions, add the potatoes into the center, and then mix it into the dough.

  6. Fry in a pan, with very little oil in it.
