i'd probably get my boobs lifted.

Original Post by veggiedoodle:

My boobs were not perky as a 127 lb 18 year old, so as a 180 lb 28 year old with a kid, they are even worse. I would love to have a lift. My pregnancy also destroyed my stomach. My daughter is almost 5 years old and I still have a huge stomach with a flap at the bottom. Yes, I'm not talking about a muffin top, I'm talking about standing there naked, I have a flap of fat skin that hangs down. Or my panties will roll down under it, and that looks REALLY attractive, let me tell ya. Tummy tuck would really make me happy. Not liposuction, because I would like to be able to feel good, that I lost the weight myself, but that skin is done for. It has no elesticity and I have no ab muscles. It's sad... Cry

l have the same problem with the flap at the bottom of my stomach, and the more weight l lose the looser the skin gets and now it's hanging low (l wonder what exercises will help with that) but yeah after l reach my weight loss goal if the skin around my stomach is still this loose, l will get a tummy tuck. Not because l think it will magically cure all that ails me, or rewind the hands of time and make me 12 again (BTW l am 38) but because l will no longer have need for the excess skin and it will have to go.

And then l will grow old gracefully with the occassional restylane and or botox injections, the fat injections in my hands if and when necessary Laughing

fabina/veggiedoodle, i have the exact same hangy stomach thing you guys do. but i've had mine since i started puberty, in the 4th grade! it's called a panniculus, i believe. and it's utterly disgusting. my ab muscles are tight, and strong, but there's nothing i can do about all that extra skin just flappin' around down there.

A nose job, Hair laser removal, Liposuction, Breast lift and implants, fuller lips, butt implants, Teeth Whitening and maybe braces to make them straighter.

I had my boobs done...after three kids and losing weight...I was flat. I do not regret it, and have had zero complications (that was five years ago) I do not plan on any other procedures....just to get back into shape and to lose more weight. Good health is the best cosmetic !

gijane - I disagree.
The idea that plastic surgery implies those who dont pursue it arent worthy of happiness, that people do it to are attempting to pretend theyre a younger age and that the goal is to achieve an unrealistic 'ideal body seems quite negative and extreme'.

Imagine such accusations targetted at dieting, those who diet and their expectations.

Anyone pursuing a cure-all for 'happiness' is certainly challenging themselves but seeking to be happier isnt unrealistic.  Many who successfully diet don't remain the same person. Theyve probably the same values but are likelier to be more content. Some may seek further contentment by resolving something physically which affects them mentally so negatively that theyre willing to address it surgically.

People shouldnt count on happiness period. They can be hopeful, though, of being happier through plastic surgery by understanding the risks and haveing realistic physical expectations of improving, not perfecting, that which truly makes them extremely unhappy.

I'm gonna get a tummy tuck...one of these days :)

Plastic surgery did not make me happier. It just made me happier about the way I look.  I guess it is kind of like thinking a million dollars will make you happier. It might temporarily solve some of  your outward problems, but as sun says, true inner contentment lies within...and is something that cannot be found with outward things.

As for something mentally bothering you to the point of surgery...I actually felt pretty okay with my body just before I had surgery....I felt I did not "need" it anymore after getting into the best shape of my life. I did it because I wanted to do it. Some people get one thing after another done...and they are never happy.  As far as getting older...it is going to happen, I have seen too many celebrities get strange looking facial surgery. They would have been better off with their natural faces...(Axel Rose, Mickey Rourke, Priscilla Presley...) ah well.

- Lasik surgery

Is that considered plastic surgery?  If so, I'm in.  My contact perscription is -11 in both eyes... yes, negative 11, and getting worse.

I might consider a boob lift if it didn't cost much.

If I have loose skin after I lose weight and it's really horrific...I'd want it removed. But everything else will remain the same.

And like someone else said, lasik surgery please! :D

Probably a nose job, I'm not too fond of my nose. At the same time...I think most people that have had nose jobs look worse after.

I would never actually get any plastic surgery though. I can't see putting myself through surgery purely for vanity.

hmm, it's not exactly plastic surgery, but it's surgery! WOW, I can't believe your eyes are that bad! Mine are -3.5, and I thought that was blind. I'm afraid mine are getting worse and worse as well. I'm only 16!

how much do breast implants actually cost?? I've always wondered

With all of the hospital fees I think it's between $6000-70000.

If you get a breast lift do you have to get implants with it?  I watch that show Plastic Surgery Before and After and all the people who get breast lifts also get implants  Has anyone here had a breast lift?

I'd get everything. Gosh how I just want to appear normal when naked. I'll take the scars, I'll take the down time, I just want the money!

There are tons of people that get it done all the time. Have you been on makemeheal.com? Amazing, beautiful people with stories to match.

I have had an extreme weight loss of 175 pounds, and as it stands, my stomach sags, my inner thighs sag, my breasts, my arms, I want it ALL. Like you see on those plastic surgery makeover shows. Those shows make me tear up.

If only I had the moolah to get it all, I SO would in a heart beat.

It's almost tough to imagin. I mean, as I am.. I am happy and healthy. My skin HOLDS me in place. I'm a beautiful person, even with a feeling that I have to hide this body, it's doing nothing wrong to me. I just.. I want to take a shower and feel ME taught. Even with the scars. I'm not mentally ready for it all, nor do I have the money, but someday :) aww that makes me happy.

Nope. def not. I want the lift but I don't want the implants. It's actually about 4K cheaper without the sillicone weighing you down. Get them girls back where they make you feel like a woman!

ive heard that some people "need" the implant because they dont have enough breast tissue of their own left.  is that purely cosmetic though?  like, do they "need" an implant because their boobs would be lifted and turned into an A cup that they wouldnt like, or is it an actual, medical need for an implant?

Heck yes.

I would get a nose job, no doubt.

When I'm getting old I will be all for the botox, the breast lift, whatever looks good.

I plan on the tummy tuck in about a year or so.  Two c-sections and weight loss have destroyed what used to be my abs/  I cant even remember what a non-wrinkled tummy looks like.  I will shop around for the tuck and plan it for winter months.
