hey everyone. i'm relatively new (okay, very new) to calorie-count, but i am really stoked to use it. last year i lost over twenty five pounds by counting calories, and now that i have only twenty left to lose to reach my goal weight (120 lbs) i can't seem to get below the 140 point. i'm currently eating 1200 calories a day, and not exercising. does anyone have suggestions to help me break through into the 130's? thanks! :)

Hi Asdf girl!

I am 5ft 4 and I was at about the same specs as you. I got to 135 then started the gym and I am now at 140 (give or take a lb) but a size smaller (went from a 7/6 to a 5/4). I eat 1250-1350 cals (no more no less) and I have a sedentary mode, (I work in a cue all day) and then I kick @$$ in the gym on a daily (probably 6 days a week average). The toning has helped, but I am still far from my goal...

wondering when I will (if its possible) to hit my goal... which I have no clue what the actual number is going to be. I just want no cellulite, no flubbery parts, and a nice stomach. (I am pear shaped with major love handles btw). Let's motivate each other!!! I definitely would suggest the gym or at least a good amount of exercising though as it can help you tone it up :)

What's your goal look like? I'd like to look like a fitness model at some point

heya! im 5'4 have been on a plateau at 144 for 3 weeks seem to have broken that this morning!! im losing via the exercise route though, so its taken me a while before fat loss outdoes muscle gain :)

my suggestion is adding some form of exercise, maybe walking :) its low intensity but an hour will burn around an extra 200 cals.

im 5'4 and that was my hardest :P although i was eating the wrong amount from a stupid mistake, but The best way is most likely to start exercising at least 3 times a week, but try to eat a bit more if you exercise. :)

REALLY helps for stuff like that :) And if your going to stay sedentary, keep the same calories but eat healthier if your not doing that. (like if your getting most of your calories from salty/junk food) hope this helps! :D

THANKS so much! i will definitely implement working out into my day. i work in an environment where i'm standing a lot and i think working out would probably be beneficial. are there any specific exercises you recommend? ie. crunches, sit ups, etc?

so sorry for the late reply, But cardio burns fat at the time your doing it. Try to get to doing a bit every day. Cardio is what burns the fat.(Like running, swimming, etc) But exercising your muscles helps in the long run, and it makes it so that you require more energy (calories) by whatever your doing. Try to do a few arm and leg exercises, the bigger the muscle the more energy it requires, so squats is something I recommend :).

you're not losing weight because you are not eating enough. you're eating the bare minimum for a sedentary 5'1 adult female. not a 5'4 teenager.
