Help

im 5'7 and 146 lbs

i've lost 4 lbs and im stuck

i want to lose six more lbs before i get to high school in the fall

please i need strategies

i work out almost everyday (treadmill for about 20-30 min)

and eat between 1200 and 1800 calories a day

HELP

Hey there,

I would suggest sticking to a specific amount of calories so that you are better able to track how many your consuming. It sounds like your body may be used to your workout since you're doing the same thing everyday, try switching up your workouts, with a different form of cardio and some strength training. Any difference will help, and you always want to keep your body guessing!

First, I would like to say that giving yourself a name like "fatgirl" really makes me sad :( The first things you should do is realize that you are a beautful person no matter what you look like and not degrade yourself -- it will show in your results by setting yourself up for failure. Thinking positive is key!

Second, I would really like to recommend amping up your workouts - go that extra 10 minutes, push that extra weight. Calisthenics such as repeating sets of pushups, situps, squats are great workouts. Sarlaken is right that your body is probably used to the 20-30 min treadmill workouts -- try 10 min fast walk/run a mile fast as you can/5 min walk repeat and get that heartrate up!

Also, don't be discouraged by your weight -- go by how your clothing feels and how your body feels. As an example, I started working out regularly since February (min 4 times a week, 15+ miles, weights) and have not lost ONE pound. But, I've lost a total of 5 inches off my body. Muscle is your friend, it increases metabolism and makes you strong!

Also, I'm 5'8' and 155 so you're not doing too bad there lady ;)

146lbs is NOT FAT!! What.. haha You're silly..
Earlier this year I was 160lbs. Now Im 136! In April I started doing a workout program that is soo easy and fun and will gaurantee you lose 10lbs in 10 days if u do it right and plus its addicting which is awesome! Its called TurboJam! It is soo fun! You'll love it! I do!
Honestly! If you want to lose 6 pounds, do turbojam. you'll lose more then that and get fit and look smokin' if you keep it up :D  Let me know if you choose to do this I'll help you out if you need it :D
