Plateau, maintenance or busted scale?
I have been the same exact weight to the ounce for the past 8 days. Regardless of how well I have been counting calories and working out, I have just been stuck (I think I have weighed myself 6 or 7 times out of the 8 days because I was excited to have dropped to this lower weight; usually I aim for about once a week).
I'm okay with being able to maintain weight, but this seems so strange, especially since I am quite the fluctuater normally. Also, my scale has been acting up for a while---I have to weigh myself 3 times because the first time is always higher then I get an error, so I weigh myself 2-3 more times to make sure those weights all match.
Has anyone else encountered this level of maintenance or do you think it is just my scale acting up? I'm gonna get a new scale today regardless; I can't handle all this weighing!
If you're going to get a new scale start from there..... No point agonising about information if it's dodgy.
i remember once i stuck at the same weight for 3 weeks drove me insane! then i lost 7 lbs in one week which more than made up for it....mad eh?
if u buy newscales which it sounds like u have to start again dont try to compare the two
xx
How about instead of a scale that will fill your head with information that will just get you more frustrated spend $20.00 and get yourself a set of body fat calipers and start tracking your body fat %. At the end of the day it is this number that matters more than what the scale says. ![]()
Reading your post is like "looking" in a mirror! I've had the exact same issue - been at 168 for 8 days, weighing almost everyday because I want to see it change so badly! It occurred to me that it must be broken.
Bad part is that my hubby has also been using the same scale, which has shown his terrific weight loss efforts. Bummer!
I hope your new scale is kind to you!
