Please help me

Ok so I'm on birth control, I know its very rare to get pregnant while on this but it still can happen.  I had a some bleeding 2 weeks ago (very light) as oppose to my normal regular heavy period.  I've been reallly tired, a little bit of sore breasts, body aches, stomach cramping.  I took a pregnancy test at Dr. it said negative but he was sending me for a blood test anyways.  should I go to take it.  I feel pregnant, I have 2 children already.  With my daughter I took 3 tests before one said positive.  But I knew I was pregnant.  Should I just leave it and believe the tests or go for the blood test.  Are blood tests more accurate, will they be able to tell this soon. Please help I"m worried and confused. thanks

See the doctor.  Take the blood test.  Don't drive yourself crazy wondering.  Sometimes your instincts are more accurate than anything else.  Keep us posted.

Take a deep breath.  If you're pregnant, knowing you are isn't going to change anything for the immediate moment.  Just lay off any vices you have just in case until you get the test results.  Likewise, if you're not pregnant, laying off vices such as alcohol and cigarettes for a couple of weeks won't hurt you at all.

While knowing for sure would be nice, none of the over the counter tests will tell you until after you've  missed your next period, so don't waste money on them now.

If you've taken any antibiotics lately and had unprotected sex, then there's a good chance that the birth control pill will have failed.  Also, the pill, like all methods other than abstinence, is not 100% so there is a small chance.

Yes, take the blood test, especially if your doctor recomended it.  I think they may be more accurate than urine tests.  You mentioned that it took multiple tests before you got a positive result with your daughter, so maybe that's happening again?  I'd probably take the blood test just to put my mind at ease.  Good luck!

Thanks! I took the blood test last night and the dr. phoned this morning.  Missed the call so waiting for the phone call back . I'm sure it will say negative (like everything else) and I think I might be upset. I would love another baby, but maybe were not ready yet, but going through all this has made me wonder? I'm so young still but does it matter, I'm married have 2 kids already and I konw we wanted one more sometime.  I dont' know maybe I'm secretly hoping for a positive somewhere and thats why I keep thinking I am, and I'm going through the "psychosymatic"(spelling?) stage where I think I am so my body responds.  O well time will tell I guess. I will let you know what happens. Thanks again
