I know this is asked many times , but am really struggling with it.
I am 5.3, 182lbs. Aiming to loose 28lbs.
Prob exercise 4 times a week. Burn approx 4=500 cals.
Have worked out on this that can have 1600 cals. I need a deficit of 500 a day to loose 1lb of weight.
Where do I get the other number to subtract the 1600 from to get my defict of 500 a day???
Thanks so much for the help, its frustrating me !
Ok, have re entered my figures it says can eat 1200....no wonder have not lost this week, was working on 1600. However my daily goal says 1600 still. The burn meter says 2290 and then 764 in the box....is the 764 what my body uses just to do everyday activity? What does the 2290 mean? Thanks
How old are you?
What does the Daily Calorie Expendature tool tell you your current daily burn is?
Take the number of calories you burn every day (according to the Daily Expendature calculator) and subtract 500.
So the expendature tool will say, depending on your age, something like 2000 cal/day. To lose one pound (which equals 3500 calories) per week, you would eat somewhere around 1500/day.
Does that help?
The burn meter shows two numbers.
At the top of the burn meter, it has a big number in small font. That is the total average calories you will have burned by the end of today.
The number in the middle of the burn meter - the smaller number in larger font size - is about how many of those calories you have burned so far today. So in the early morning it starts out at zero, at noon youve burned half of your daily expendature, and as it approaches midnight the number gets to its maximum.
Hiya, am 39. Will go and try and work it out! Thanks
By the way, if youre burning 2290 per day, you should definitely aim for more than 1200 calories per day.
You could eat 1790 cal/day and still lose a pound per week. Its your choice, but 1200 is pretty unsatisfying. Youre going to feel hungry. Weightloss doesnt have to be painful!
Think have managed to work it out at last! 1530........ Have had 1600 a day this week, and exercised. Will drop to 1400-1500 and increase the exercise a little. Need to shift it. Thanks for the advice ![]()
No problem - good luck ![]()
