I joined this site on Feb. 27 hoping to lose some weight. The calculator here gave me a goal of losing 36 pounds by Au wog. 11.
So far, in about 5 months, I have lost a measly 2 pounds.
I dont want to give up, but I feel stupid continuing a system that isnt working.
I'm just not sure what to do now......

What are your stats and what's your daily routine?
Are you working out at all?
Did you take your measurements when you first started (5 months ago)?
Can you tell any difference in the way your clothes fit?

What did you enter into the calculator, activity wise? What limit did it give you?
i am 20 yrs old, weigh 170, 5'6".
i try to do an hour of cardio 5 days a week. with some additional strength training on two days.
I did take measurments- but they havent changed at all- my clothes fit the same.
i put "sedentary" in the calculator- i am a student, sit all day.
the calculator told me to eat 1450 calories a day.

Well, if you are working out that much during the week then you shouldn't be putting sedentary into the calculator. It sounds like you're burning a lot of calories with your workout and that 1450 isn't nearly enough to make sure that, at the end of the day after you burn all those calories from working out, that you'll be at 1200. You should try recalculating by changing your activity level to active and then eat accordingly to make sure that you reach 1200 cals a day after working out.
Try to change your life style. change your cardio routine. if you were working on treadmill, start using ellaptical oe stationaery bike.
try to join a spin class or if you can a boxing class. boxing aerobics is amazing for weight loss
