Please! Give me some 'Ooompf'!
Blah!
I was an avid user of CC & did really well. However recent events have upset my brilliant weight loss & I crept up by 10lbs. Boo! Hiss!
The events are that I moved out of home in July into my first house with my boyfriend so I have a lot more 'stuff' to do than when I lived with my mum so feel I have less time & energy to put into CC. This is silly as there are plenty of CC'ers who are home owners & housewives & can do this - So any advice & tips on time management would be great!
I also got promoted at work & have more responsibilty = more stress. I'm always so tired & really want to get motivated in to eating well & exercising again.
I just need a few words of encouragement & some tips on how to keep everything together without running myself into the ground. Suppose I'm just feeling a little overwhelmed.
Try yoga or meditation. It helps. Also, working out helps to relieve stress too.
There's a man in the equation; he split the chores with you. That's a good start.
Then there's organization. If you work week days, then it's good if you can use a portion of the Saturday or Sunday to prepare and freeze or refrigerate food for the week.
Getting enough sleep is what keeps the whole thing running. That means no TV in the bedroom and having good sleep hygiene. http://www.helpguide.org/life/sleep_tips.htm( (this is an article on what sleep hygiene is all about).
Exercise has to get bumped up to a level of importance that means it can happen for you. If everyone and everything else has to come first, then exercise just won't happen dependably. If you need a workout buddy to help keep the priority of exercise, then do so -- you and girlfriend could have walking dates after dinner as an example.
And it is also about letting go -- there's lots of stuff we think has to happen, and it doesn't. This is actually especially true at work (assuming a standard office job).
Strangely the stress at workplaces is inversely proportional to the importance of the work being done. Just go into an emergency room and that gives you perspective to know that much office panic is just that -- panic but not a real emergency.
Hope these ideas help a bit.
You have some difficulties now. However, you do have a lot in your favor. Concentrate on these:
1. you're young - you have a higher metabolic rate on your side
2. it's just 10 pounds, not 100 - one is certainly easier than the other!
3. you already know how to CC and control your intake
4. you already ( I assume) have lost weight before, so you know what it takes for your body to lose weight. no time needed for experimentation
Finally, you want to do well at work, but can't find time to exercise. invert that and say instead that exercise makes you fresher and better at work than if you don't exercise. It'll help make it a priority. Good luck!

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
