please somebody answer me, where are my periods??:(
At start I lost 20 kilos rapidly and as for result I have lost my periods. I haven't had it for 1 year already. When I visited my doc, he told me that I had to gain a bit! My height is 5'3'' and I used to weight 104 lbs. Now I weight 113 lbs(53 kilos). But still I don't have my periods:( How do you think what should I do now? I want to maintain my weight or lose a bit maybe 1-2 kilos, how many calories should I eat?
Thank you
well, your weight is normal but you might not be eating enough good fats. try every day to have at least one serving of nuts, avocado, stuff like that and see if you get a period after a few weeks.
Exact same problem here. My last one was three months ago for only two days.
I do know it may sound a bit annoying but really, i got so tangled! How many calories should I eat per day>.>?
you can have mine if you want..
I am so lost with my calorie range too. Suggestions?!?!?
anna I put your stats into the Burn Meter tool, and at sedentary (no exercise at all) you need to eat at least 1600 calories to maintain and if you exercise you'll need to eat more than this. Do you exercise? How much? Also like ewwxroflzz said, make sure your eating enough "good fats"
letmefalltoyou whats your age/height/weight?
Ah, love, I haven't had my periods since I was 13, and I'm 16, borderline 17 (August is my birthday) now. I think a lot of mine's due to depression, anxiety and stress, and they were always very irregular and considerably light, but when I began cutting back on calories and food intake, they eventually weened off to nothing, to where I now haven't had one in nearly four years. I've been to my doctor too - infact, I was supposed to go to the hospital today, where I was referred to a gynacologist, but I purposely missed it - about it, and he said it's a mix of my weight, and stress levels, and depression. They've checked my blood too, and there's nothing wrong there, so I'm a bit of a mystery to them. They say I am still in the right weight category to have a period, just about, so I should still be having them if I wasn't so stressed, but yeah, I'm a mystery. What's weird to is, I can tell when I'm supposed to be having a period, like a bloody phantom one. I go through all the signs of a period - putting on a pound, becoming grumpy and slightly bloated, maybe a small stomach pain, but nothing happens.
Ghostbusters should maybe be called! Haha x.
Yeah the weight loss will kill your reproductive system like that. Don't worry though. It will only make it worse if you get anxious.
IRON IRON IRON.
Yes, calories will help and weight will help, but you need to make sure you're not getting anemic.
It's kinda gross, but take a tablespoon of blackstrap molasses EVERY day (until your periods come back). Eat spinach, raisins, green vegetables as much as you can.
If you have a health food store near you, consider buying a vitamin supplement designed specifically for regulating your period and even a hormone lotion. I used Fem-50 for the vitamin supplement, and Emerita Progesterone cream.
I don't have to use them anymore, but I did use them for about 3 years. My periods are regular and not heavy or too light now.
If anything I'm on the heavy side... 5'7, 135lbs, 14 years old.
