Weight Loss
Moderators: duke3522, devilish_patsy, topanga1485, nycgirl, spoiled_candy, cmillington, coach_k so pleased that.....
I have come back from being on holiday for a week and the scales went down by just over 0.6lbs
I was so pleased!!!!!!! I did not calorie count but tried to be as sensible as I could.
I did plenty of strolling around - we played on the beach as the weather allowed - the only thing was that I did not drink enough water - but the scales did not go up and I am chuffed to bits.
I am aiming to get back to normal today - and will work hard for the week - the only blip will be my daughter's birthday which is on 'Wednesday so as long as I have good days before and after then I will not feel guilty about having a bad day that day. She is so excited that she can hardly wait and talks non stop about it all the time!!!!!
Its great to be back - I really missed reading all the topics and trying to help where I felt that I could.

Good job. Yes, going on vacation doesn't mean gaining is inevitable.
Welcome back, and great job on sticking to your goals.
That is GREAT! Even tho we may overeat on vacation being on the go offsets it. Glad that happened for you!!! Yes, reading posts here is fun for me also.
I went camping for a week, and i have yet to get weighed. I ate silly stuff i hadn't eaten in months (cheese, bread, chocolate, pizza...) but i did a huge amount of walking (cross-country, up and over hills, lots of stairways etc). Still...i am preparing myself for a huge gain on Tuesday.
On a side-note...i went shopping for the first time in almost a year, thinking that a 40lbs weightloss should make a notable difference in what i can wear....my husband gave me his cashcard, and i STILL came home empty handed. I was gutted!
