9pm, had 1200cals today & hungry..... what to do?
Have a glass of water, suck it up and go to bed at 10?
Give in and go find a snack?
eat something :)
1200 calories is a bare minimum...I would eat more. An apple and peanut butter? A yogurt? Some granola?
Depends,
When you had your last meal and when do you plan to sleep.
I am very conscious of bed time, as we are not supposed to eat 3-4h before sleep, even if you are not on a diet, if you eat something just before bed you won't be able to sleep because of an upset tummy or undigested food, but in the same time you cannot sleep if you are hungry.
i ussually don't eat 3-4h before bedtime and i get so hungry but because i am dead tired as soon as I land on teh pillow I am in dreamland :P
good luck
Eat a piece of fruit or a high fiber bar!
I agree... 1200 calories is on the low side. I hope you are not tring to stay on that caloric intake for long. Otherwise you are just going to lower your metabolism and hit a platue way to soon.
I personally would eat more during the day. However, there is a reason why you are hungry and that's b/c you need food! Cheese stick, apple with peanut butter is a good suggestion. Something healthy and light.
guys, can i ask you something , i am quite new here
if i eat 1860 cal and i exercise 1261 cal , plus up to 2200 cal with all my daily duties and metabolism calculation, is that good, or i am supposed to have less
liek today i ate 868 cal and i will exercise 1308 up to 2396 cal with sustaining daily my body. definetely i need to eat more but should be less than 1308 cal (the no. of calories burned trough ex.?), or less than 2396 (total no. of cal that my body burns daily?), or somewhere in between.
this thing is a little bit confusing.
and why does it say 2396 cal in big print and on top 3400 cal (total estimate), what is that? an dwhich one is true ?
can anyone help me out with this confusion
thanks a lot

Here's my thoughts on all the numbers you posted...
Assuming you're actually burning 1300 calories per day (which is an awful lot), and your standard (non-exercise burn rate) is 2200, that's a total of 3500 calories that your body is consuming in a day. If you want to lose 2 pounds per week (which is the "standard" maximum that you should try to lose), that works out to 7000 calories per week, or 1000 calories per day. That means you should be eating 2500 calories in a day. You NEED more than the 1300 calories! All this is based on my opinions, which mostly comes from reading sites like this and trying to educate myself. I'm not a doctor, nutritionist, or any other kind of expert.
With regards to the "big print" and "total estimate"... The value in the "big print" is where you're at right now, based on your daily burn rate and the exercise you've entered into the system. The "Total Estimate" is the sum of your daily burn rate and the exercise you've entered for the entire day. So if your burn rate is 2200 for the day, and you don't do any exercise, 12 hours into the day your "big print" number should be 1100 calories, and the total estimate would be 2200. If you worked out for 500 calories in the morning, then it would have read had 1600 calories in big print, and 2700 for the total estimate.

This, btw, is simply untrue.

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
Take the Diet Profile Test and learn to avoid the pitfalls and self-sabotage that often come with your personal profile.
