It started early this month - the bloating, the cramping, the total lack of comfort, the headache, the just plain blah feeling. No energy, no appetite, no motivation. I'm grumpy, grumpy, grumpy.
Why do we have to be tortured like this? My personal opinion - when you've had all the kids you plan on having, a hysterectomy should be optional - I'd be the first in line, I swear.
I've gained 3 pounds in water weight. I haven't had a bad day since my pizza incident earlier in the week, and that just wasn't enough to cause me to gain 3 pounds. I'm swollen, puffy - my fingers feel like sausages. (sigh) I just about feel like I need to be on lasix or something.
I think I'll go soak in the tub and curl up on the sofa. So much for exercising today. Men have it so easy ...

aaawww {{{stacie}}} know how you feel! curl up with a warm water bottle or heating pad... although, sometimes I find it helps to move around like take a walk...
here's an article i found helpful! I always need more sleep and tend to want to dive into a choklit sundae the week before...

Hi Stacie,
My serious condolences! I've had PMS in the past and it sucks! I had a look at your profile to see your weight and age and I see we're about the same age. (I'm born '71.)
Just as a bit of hope for you, my PMS appears to be going, going, gone. I have had two months now without ANY symptoms. In addition, these last two months have been my most healthy weight and diet at the same time probably ever in my life.
Obviously, I don't know if it works like this for every woman, but just to let you know, it's possible there's a light at the end of your tunnel. (So to speak.)
I hope this month is better!

Hi Stacie,
I'm totally with you girl...I get PMS too...I'm not so crampy and stuff but seriously turn into super bitch...I've started taking Evening Primrose Oil which is supposed to help balance hormones and clear skin if you have acne...just started taking it, but will keep the board posted on how it's going. Probably won't know until next PMS time. Look into it though =) Hang in there

Evenign Primrose works like a charm, even for a perpetual mega-grump like moi! Whenever I am in an especially touchy mood, esp around that time of the month, I swallow a handful (literally) & it always makes me feel better. I don't think there're any side effects from over-consumption...well not any bad ones as far as I know!
Raspberry tea helps me alot with the cramps and nausea. If you try it, make sure you get the natural kind not the artificial flavor kind.
