it's my PMS week...here come the cravings...
it's like clockwork. ladies, how do you battle your pms cravings?
p.s. i'm an all or nothing kind of gal...like its either no m&m's at all or the whole 1 gallon bag (trust me, been there, done that)
Coincidentally, it's MY pms week, too, AND I am an everything or nothing kind of girl!!! I try to steer clear of ANY sweets, but if all else fails, make some Sugar Free Jello or pudding and top it with some Fat Free Cool Whip. For the salty thing (one of my major pms cravings), I buy spicy-HOT pumpkin seeds from a local health food market and mix them with some raw almonds. They're crunchy, salty, spicy, and satisfying!! I also allow myself a Venti, non-fat, skinny, iced, peppermint mocha from Starbucks once or twice during that week. Mmmmmm....![]()
i'll try the pudding and cool whip...i just found a recipe on here for sponge cake that is 100 cals per 1/8 of the cake. which is actually a pretty big chunk if ya think about it!
ALSO...Weight Watchers makes a wonderful chocolate ice cream sandwich!!
I totally agree with cinfuldiva.
Sugar-free Jello or pudding is awesome.
O, I noticed that eating Hershey Kisses with a BUNCH of water... it makes you feel SO full. And Kisses are only 25 calories each.
But I heard that eating sweets releases some weird chemical in your body that makes you crave even MORE sweets.
Stick with Sugar-free stuff... that's my advice.

Ohhhhh ladies! I am right there with ya! I am so glad you started this thread cuz I am seriously looking for something to curb my crazy cravings during this time! These are some great ideas. I tried doing the south beach diet and I needed chocolate like I thought I was going to hurt someone and the sugar free chocolate pudding that you have to make (not the ones in the cups) hit the spot! I am going to try having one hershey kiss and see how that goes. We can do it ladies!!!
ok so you guys have to hear this. yesterday i had one small brownie with one scoop of cookies n' cream ice cream (the ice cream is only 130 cals per 1/2 cup!) and when i went to DQ with my bf at 9 last night...i didnt get anything! i didn't even sneak a bite...woot!
Congratulations! that's some will power, right there. Ice cream is my major weakness, heh.
PMS week is horrible for me, too. My body starts craving all of these fatty, cream-based and chocolate treats. I'm gonna try that jello and low-fat whipped cream idea - it may be my saviour!

YAY! I'm so proud of you! I'm in Hungary right now... CARB CENTRAL! Ahhh! It's so difficult to resist the temptations around every corner, but YOUR willpower has inspired me! I will try harder until the 15th, when I leave. It's amazing here, but America has health food stores, and more options to live how WE ladies wanna live..... a low-calorie lifestyle!

My week too. My biggest cravings are salt & chocolate. I found chocolate covered pretzels in 100 calorie packs! Hits both of my craving at once!
Hungary? wow! never been out of the country myself that's so cool! i have to make blueberry sugar cookies today AND i have to go out to dinner tonight so it'll be a tough day, but since you're fighting your cravings...i'll be good and fight mine too lol. eat to live!
i'm having a planned splurge tonight...i've already put what i plan on eating into my food log. Now all i have to do is make sure that is all i eat...during my period....oh goodness this is gonna be a tough night! wish me luck!
