1.5 Week Clean Eating Challenge - Mon. Oct 29 - Wed Nov. 7 - CHALLENGE FINISHED AND CLOSED

This week I have worked out everyday (yay for me) sometimes twice a day BUT I ate horribly and was over my caloric limit every single day aside from Tuesday!!!
I may still lose weight because I burned so many cals.

However as you all know that is not the point, so I set a challenge for myself and anyone else who would like to join in. Starting this coming Monday for a 10 full days I want to eat clean, stay within 1600-1700 cals a day and have NO candy.

I'm not a fan of the "no this, no that" but I want to see if it actually makes a difference and how well I could do if I took the nutrition part really really seriously. Which in turn will turn into an incredibly motivating thing.

Challenge runs from October 29 to November 7 - 10 Days

Goals: Stay within calorie range, I just recently upped it by pushing my goal date back so it really shouldn't be a problem. NO CANDY! this is going to be so hard haha! Adequate amounts of veggies, plenty of hydration for once.

No highly processed foods, only complex carbs, lots of fruits and veggies and lean proteins. No damn treats (sweets, candy, etc) because I cant stop at one no matter what I tell myself :)

Clean eating for me is: Stick to my meal plan everyday, which includes lots of water, taking my iron tablet, lots of fruit veg and proteins. No sweets EXCEPT one treat of my 40 cal hot choc drink once a day! also getting some exercise in.

Drink at least 4 34 oz glasses of water a day Work out HARD 2 times a day, and remain active throughout the day Get as much sleep as I can at night. Going to bed when Cyrus does, instead of 5 hours later seeing as he is only sleeping 6 hours at night right now. Substitute my fatty creamy soups with broths.

I'm totally in and was planning on doing this anyway. I did it a little last week and felt great, but ruined it over the weekend (cake and icecream two days in a row!). It feels really good to do.

I thought 10 days would be great because it does include a weekend which adds to the difficulty level sort of.

The weekend is super difficult. Especially because I have "weekend foods" that I look forward to. I am still healing from an injury and clean eating is nice when you can't work out the way you want to. But I don't cook and I am lazy, so it is VERY HARD.  . . Good luck to you. Can't wait to hear how it goes!!!
Same here the ball of my left foot is inflamed so no walking or anything that puts pressure on my foot until it's healed.

We can do it. I honestly just want to proof to myself that I CAN eat clean and healthy because now it is especially crucial with not being to work out as much.

So totally in the same goat and good luck to you too and tons of willpower.

Ok, This is my first ever challenge, and I think it's a good time to do it because it's Halloween and I have suuuuuuuuuch a sweet tooth. Let's do this! Please help me out guys, I haven't been free of sweets for even one day for a looooong time.

Ok I really want to try this because Im having the worst time losing weight and I know its cause im eating junk , not getting satisfied and eating to much. Ive been working out alot and have the feeling thats the only reason Im not gaining at the moment. This is a short time so I think I can do it and it will be really interesting to see the results. I already started to day but I am in

Oh man you did this right at at Halloween on purpose didn't you! :) This means I can't raid my kids' trick or treat bags for the "good stuff", but ok here goes...

well i started on sat oct 27, but i'll finish with you guys =)

my goal is to:

I planned on doing this anyway, more with drinks than anything though. I have been drinking sodas and kool aids for the past couple weeks and really gotta get out of this rut. I also have eatten a lot of comfort food like country fried steak with mashed potatoes,etc. I also really slacked off on working out. As in my only exercise has been when I clean or bounce with the baby

Current weight: was 138lbs last week, i'll weight myself on monday to make sure.

Calorie intake: 1250 - 1400

Ultimate goal is to get to 128lbs in the next 10 wks, hope this challenge kick starts the weight loss again. (i lost 16lbs so far, but nothing for last 2.5 weeks as i started to snack on crap) ah well...

thank you for joining me in these 1.5 weeks of really truly clean eating. I'm still worried I can't pull through but I'm giving it my all and have banished all bad foods from my house.

Hi everyone,

I'm completely psyched about this 1.5 week challenge and I'm thinking about not weighing in until the very end of it while still working out as much as my inflamed foot will allow while really keeping the eating clean.

I've whipped up tons of healthy meals last night all of them between 300-400 cals each which is great and I've given thought to snacks in the 150-200cal range while keeping it all nicely balanced pro/car/fat.

I think having pre-packaged (by myself) lunches/dinners will make this a whole lot easier as it will be just as easy to grab a healthy meal as it would be to eat something that's bad for you.

i'm really happy with myself today. i stuck to my plan and have ticked every box except drinking enough water, still plenty of time to do that ;)

Congrats on doing well the first day and yes definitely drinking water you can still catch up on. Well done.
