poll: apples or bananas?

I know, it's hard to choose, but I was just wondering which one you like better:  a nice, crisp apple or a sweet, delicious banana?  I'd have to go with the banana myself, especially if it is good and ripe.  To me bananas are more filling and satisfying than apples.  What are your thoughts?

bananas are good, but more calorieful I think.

I read in an article recently that apples are considered a super fruit while bananas are just so so when it comes to nutrition. Just something I read...not sure how founded it is. I prefer the apple because it's nice and crisp.

I prefer the apple as well. I love bananas but they can get a little high in cals. And I also just love apples!!

it totally depends.  if i'm pretty hungry, i'll go for the banana.  it fills me up more, and sits better in my stomach, but if i just want a good snack, it's probably the apple.

either way, they are both wicked yummy with peanut butter!

Not true. Bananas are full of potassium, fiber, and a tiny bit of protein stuck somewhere in there. o:

I love bananas because I can mix them in my cereal, my oatmeal, chop them up and microwave them with honey and cinnamon, freeze and add in a smoothie, make banana pancakes....the possibilities are endless! lol
But I do like the occasional Gala apple for a snack or chopped up, mixed with cinnamon, and microwaved with sugar free maple syrup for dessert at night.

Apples hands down. I despise bananas... that icky squishy texture and the strings... ahhhh! The only way I can stomach one is if it's mashed up and cooked into a bread or muffin, which of course takes away any health benefits.

Apples have little nutritional value they are mostly water, but they have way fewer calories. the average banana has 100 calories, but they fill you up more and have potassium

Personally i'm allergic to apples so BANANA'S all the way!

I read that bananas are good if you feel bloated, they are high in potasium, but high in sugar too...

Eaten bananas make me crave sweet foods, I love apples less sugar and I can eat them with NPB for snack every day

Funny, for me, apples make me crave things rather than bananas.  But I prefer apples because I love tartness and sweetness together.  =]

Wow, toughie!  I love them both to pieces, but I love a good crunch, so I think apple might win for me.

It's funny though, one of my friends gags at even the thought of bananas.  I forgot once when I was eating one on the way to her house, and when I brought the peel in with me to throw out, her family freaked out and made me seal it in a ziploc back and throw it out outside.  Their loss!

I would probably go for apples especially Pink Lady Apples! Thosse are my favorite snack!

Bananas are quite good too. I used to like them alot more but not as much anymore. Not sure why?

Plus it takes way longer to eat an apple (for me anyways) so it keeps my occupied longer, so I eat less calories. :)
