poll: # of turkey slices Subway puts on your 6 inch..
lets see if the amount differs depending on where you live..
All the Subways I go to by me (northwest suburb of Chicago) put 3 slices of turkey on a 6" sub.
In Saskatchewan, Canada. I got three today...and each one was yum-my!!

My ten year old daughter only lets them put one slice of turkey or ham on her 6 inch. She says that if she put more, the sandwich would be gross, and there wouldn't be enough room for her spinach! I get asked about it by every "sandwich artist". It is a pet peeve- the kid ordered it, talk to HER, not me!
That's so cute! XD
In MD, it's three slices for the Turkey Breast alone sandwich -- two slices turkey, two slices ham for the Ham and Turkey Breast sandwich
ooooooooooooooohhh..
This thread just reminded me that subways' doing their five dollar footlong special..
Turkey sub = lunch and dinner or 2 days of lunch!! Either way, 2 meals for 2.50 each.
yummy!
I once ordered a double-meat 6 inch turkey and the technician only placed 5 slices of turkey on my roll. Man was I ticked! Now I count it every time. Those Subway Sandwich technicians (Atlanta) cower each time I walk in those doors. They all try to assume the job of cashier so they don't have to deal with me! I call it "roll rage."
i don't eat subway meats anymore, but my bestfriend works at subway, and she also said you're only supposed to put 3 slices on a 6 inch.
I currently am a general manager for 3 Subways in my area and the formula for a 6in. Turkey sub is 3 slices. In regards to a 6in. ham it is 4. They are all based upon weight, so this should be uniform no matter if you go to a Subway in New York or any other state for that matter.
Usually I get the 6 inch turkey, but I decided to try the turkey and ham, and they stuck 4 slices each of both the turkey and the ham.
... I don't think that was right..
One time, I ordered a 6 inch turkey on wheat but only got 2 slices of turkey. I was okay with it though. I feel sorry for Subway employees. They're making so many individual sandwiches a day that they're bound to make a mistake occasionally.
Well, I'd like The Amish Porn Star Subway Manager to weigh in on this one. Two slices of turkey is just sloppy, sloppy, sloppy and somewhat fraudulent if you ask me. Take away one slice per customer from every franchise: $.09 per slice x 210 customers avg per day x 5,260 restaurants and you've got savings of $99,414 per day. Sure, I just pulled those numbers randomly, but I still think it's a conspiracy. Cheese Pizza Girl, you need to get a backbone. Would you tolerate an ounce less of cheese on your pizza?
3 slices. rip off!
I am not sure what you want me to weigh in on (nice pun btw, good enough to steal for myself :) ) I mean if a Subway is doing that, their employee is not doing it right and it is up to the manager to be training the employee initially, so I would say it reflects on not just the employee, but also the manager in this regard. A manager is supposed to monitor the new employee until they are making it uniform with how the formula goes (which like I said is by weight vs. cost), if you notice someone is making it wrong call them on it as you are not getting your fair share and thus it is not going to be what the nutrition guide's in the Subway, on their site, or on this site say the content should be. The only person you are ripping off is yourself if it is less (money-wise, extra protein, ect.) or yourself if you get more (calorie, nutrtion content not being accurate when logged-wise).

(Sorry for the double post)
Employee's when busy do make mistakes, but if you notice them feel free to tell them, it is not going to offend them... well maybe if you are rude, but from your post you do not seem that way, so yeah, but they will more then likely appreciate your catch and from then on out have an experience with a customer noticing that might stick with them in order to do it right from there on out, something not even a manager can give them. :)
