I am new to this program and have found it to be a wonderful site.  I have a few glasses of Pepsi every day because I love the taste.  It used to be more, but I have been trying to cut down and include more water.

My question is, what should I substitute it with?  I hate the after taste of diet pop and of many of the flavored water.  Can anyone help?  Thank you.

Try iced tea, no fizz but no calories if you drink it unsweetened. If you have to have it sweet and don't like sugar substitutes, put real sugar in it, but not more than 1 or 2 teaspoons. It'll taste fairly sweet and not have anywhere near as many calories as pop.

If you love the fizz, try seltzer water and club soda. You can mix a little fruit juice in for flavor, or a squeeze a couple of lemon, lime or orange wedges in for flavor.

A lot of people are against diet drinks all together (except naturally low cal like coffee and tea) but I drink it everyday and hate diet pepsi and found that squeezing a slice of real lemon (not the juice or the pepsi with lemon/lime either) truly gets rid of that after taste.  I actually like diet sprite better than the regular.  Otherwise I like flavoring water with real fruit and no sweeteners.  I so wish I could find grape pop in diet (only have seen it once, probably a good thing, I love it).
izze sparkling fruit juice is veeery good, i love the apple. the cans are only 90 calories. you can get them at target!
Thank you for responding... I am going to try different drinks this week and come up with a couple.  Not sure I can give up the pepsi entirely, but I am going to try!  Thanks again!

to sweeten something , try honey =]

its not to bad =]

When I want soda, I drink one cup of 100% fruit juice with a can of mineral water. It gives me the sweet, and the fizz. ^_^
Try Naked Juice--I;m a huge fan of the Tropical C flavor!

I'm in Canada so not sure if you have the same products.  I also love Pepsi. the real stuff but have recently discovered diet Dr. Pepper and diet 7-up.   Both are really good tasting!  also diet PC Black Cherry cola, yum! Honest no after taste.

I don't know if your store would carry it but Organic Blue Agave is a very good sweetner.  I eat like a diabetic so I try all kinds of sweetners.  It does not affect your blood sugar like sugar does with spikes.  It's all natural and I use it in my tea.  If your stores don't have it you can buy it online.  Good luck
