I ate a bag of pop weaver light butter popcorn, the calories are 20 cals in 1 cup of popped, the whole bag is around 5 cups popped, so thats 100 calories, but it says 3.5 grams of fat per serving, so if im trying to lose weight, would eating a bag of popcorn be the worst idea ever?
No way, especially with those stats! I looked on the website and the light butter says that 1 cup popped has only 0.5g of fat, so that would be 2.5 for the 5 cups, which is not bad at all!Plus you're eating 5 cups and it has a good bit of fiber in it! I'm atually eating some popcorn right now! I get the 94% FF 100 cal packs of kettle corn from Orville Redenbacher's and use spray butter and white cheddar seasoning on it. It's so good!
Megan - I eat the exact same popcorn. I love it! On any evening when I am under my daily calorie budget, I eat a 100 cal bag of the popcorn and a coke zero. Heaven!
johnsonaan - Total fat between 20% and 30% of your total daily calories is fine. Saturated fat (along with trans fat and cholesterol) is what you want to minimize as much as possible. If you are entering your daily intake into CC, you will get a good idea as to how much saturated fat you actually consume. Good luck!
