Since we have all been talking about the wonders of cooking popcorn in a brown paper bag, let's talk about popcorn toppings!
I either use a ton of black pepper and some salt or I add this and shake it all up:
Black pepper
Garlic Powder
Seasoned Salt
A good amount of Dill
If I feel like I absolutely have to have some butter (sometimes it is all that kills the cravings!) I melt some smart balance light buttery spread and drizzle it over. 1 tbsp for 45 calories and no trans fat at all.
melt while chocolat chips and drizzle over buttered, salted popcorn.
It then firms up and you have the sweet/salty favor, yum.
sugar free syrup (makes kettle corn!)
cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice
garlic-chili powder
chili-lime powder
onion powder
lemongrass powder
curry powder
cheese flavored popcorn seasoning
parmesan cheese
real bacon bits

Nutritional Yeast! Mmmm!
I SECOND THIS! gives popcorn a cheesy taste. add a bit of garlic salt and some red pepper on it and i'll eat a whole big bowl. usually i'll spray a little bit of braggs (liquid aminos) and cooking spray on my popcorn to get everything to stick to it. (i air pop mine.)
Sometimes I make a point to burn it so the kernels stick together and form the black stuff =P
Rarely, but sometimes, I'll add cinnamon or garlic salt, but those have already been mentioned!
yum

Ok maybe I'm a weirdo but I love it plain and perfectly cooked, or plain and really burnt...haha

haha -- I usually leave mine in the micro jest a touch too long so I get the burnt flavoring -- not fond of the black stuff, however
Good to know I'm not TOTALLY out there!
Thanks coach =P
Ditto for me - I've also done the dulce flakes (awesome for adding salt without adding salt).
