i didn't mean it like that!
well funny.
=) anyone to help?
A cup is 8 fluid oz.
generally holds 8 oz. of liquid. as for solids, weight can vary a little. If you're going for portion control, I'd suggest investing in a scale. That way it tells you exactly how much of something you've got on your plate or in your glass. It also saves you money on measuring equipment, as well as time spent washing measuring cups and such.
a measuring cup.  The plastic type if its solid food and the glass one for liquids.
a measuring cup measures a cup... i dont get the question maybe?
i dont get question either....but mindy it could be metal, stainless steel, glass.....lol...i dunno

Katydalt..y u asking? Can u clairfy
well, ive never measured anything in a cup sizing. (well, except bra - lol)

just grams and litres.
a cup does not measure weight, only size.  measuring in grams and liters is more accurate anyway :)
It's a volume measurement.  A medium size coffee cup is usually right around 8 oz.  There are 4.22675282 cups in a liter.  Does that help?  ;-)
