I only have four pounds to go.  That's it.  Four pounds.  I have made it all the way here and I am super excited and so proud of myself.

Please share any positive thoughts or feelings you have about yourself or what you are doing...or anything that has made you smile recently!

After 2.5 months of this I have finally seen inches decrease around my natural waist (43"-42.5) AND my belly (47-45.5) and I was on the last notch of my belt.  So yesterday I bought a new one!

Until a couple months ago, I had slowly gained weight for the past fifteen years.  Two months ago, I was roughly 30 pounds overweight.  Today my scale informed me that, after 55 days of eating healthier and taking occasional walks, I have lost my first 10 pounds!  Still a way to go to my 30 pound goal, but I feel great and know that if I remain optimistic and stick to the plan, I'll hit my goal.  This is great.

great! keep up the good work.,

it helps me to see nice stories. got to know about some unpleasant pay cuts at one of my jobs so i need all the nice things to keep me in positive mood

Hi everyone,

It is frustrating for me.  I have been eating healthy, counting calories, and exercising 45min -60min daily and remain the same weight.  I don't know what else to do.

I see everyone losing weight but what am I not doing?

Me.

Hello me,

I am having the same issue in terms of weight, however, I was losing inches. I walk briskly 45 minutes twice a day (my dog is down to 95 lbs, loss 13 lbs, the vet is thrilled), we both do the treadmill (40 minutes for me, 20 minutes for him), and I do 15 ninutes of stretching before working out. My husband is extremely supportive.

I was told that stress can influence your weight loss. I started my plan when I took an early retirement, in January, from an extremely stressful profession. I was still working part-time  until last week. In addition, I had a death in the family during April. I actually loss 6 lbs during that time, without the plan, but am now back to my starting weight.

Now that I am not working, I analyzed what I was doing during the one-week time period of the six pound weight loss.  It was less simply, less calorires. I at during the middle of the day only due to being at the hospital all day, falling asleep (after a glass of wine) at night.

I am going back to my original plan and reducing my calorie intake and setting a long range target date that is further out, with short range goals as well. I will let you know if I see a change.

Congratulations!!!
i have lost 30 pounds since last year! :)
only 30 to go and i'll be in my "ideal" weight :D

That's awesome!  I am proud of the fact that I have managed to stick with the plan for a month now, counting calories and walking 4 times a week/strength training 2 times a week.  I have lost 6 pounds!  This is the first time in my adult life I have successfully lost weight in a healthy way.  I feel better and am a healthier person.  I know it is just the beginning, but I am positive I can do it this time!  only 34 more pounds to go!

oh yeah, and my belly is noticibly smaller!!!

Congratulations kfirth1, it must feel amazing to have set yourself goals and accomplished them! You should be very proud of yourself.

I am proud of myself for my new commitment to the gym! For the first time, I am actually really enjoying working out - I've finally found those endorphins people always talked about. This is one habit I'm definitely going to keep up Cool

Yay for endorphines! I can't imagine going more than a couple days without working out.  That is a wonderful healthy habit!

Congrats on almost reaching your goal.  I reached my goal and have now set a new goal.  Only 3 more pounds to go.  I've lost a total of 20 pounds.

But what has really made me smile is being able to run 4 miles without stopping.

I've been working for a over a year to lose 30 lbs and get in better shape. I am now 102 lbs and a size 0 petite!

But what really makes me feel good isn't the scale and the clothes, it's the confidence. I feel strong! I get the most excited when I can see myself lifting heavier and heavier weights and running longer distances in less time. That's really what this whole journey has been about for me.

Now, my Dad and I are making plans to run a 5k together, and it's been so much fun bonding with him through the training. :) Keep up the good work! Congratulations!

CONGRATS!!!!!

I just realized today that im in healthy zone :) yayyyyy what a surprise

Congrats. That is awesome. Just remember how good it will feel when you get there, and how empowered you are. You are in control !!!!  Kudos to you
