Positive Inspiration!
I only have four pounds to go. That's it. Four pounds. I have made it all the way here and I am super excited and so proud of myself.
Please share any positive thoughts or feelings you have about yourself or what you are doing...or anything that has made you smile recently!
Congratulations to you! That's great. You must feel sooo good. I must say, I fell off the wagon again and don't feel like smiling right now but I am going to try again. The one question I have about logging your foods in the daily log is, what if you don't quite find the item that you are eating, how do you figure out what to enter? Also, was it that simple, just logging in your food and exercising?
Thanks.

I had the same problem. I finally started working out with a personal trainer who said that weight is 80% intake-20% exercize. So, I revaluated my intake. Because of my age (63), it seemed that my metabolism had slowed down. I was eating 2,000 calories a day with three 45 miniute work outs a week plus walking at least two rounds of golf carrying my bag. I conscienciously reduced the caloric intake to 1,500-1,600 per day and used the trainer to mix up my exercise routine and made it less effisient. In addition, I began eating an apple at mid morning and mid afternoon to keep my metabolism working. With this routine, it is the first that I have seen any 'breakthrough' since for over a year and have average approximately 1# per week. Since trying the new approach, my weigh has gone from 255 to 242. It is the first that I have been enthusiastic about the prospect of achieving my goal for some time.

How many calories are you taking in? You may not be eating enough and your body is storing for fear you are starving. Eating not enough is just as bad as overeating when you are trying to lose weight.

Hi everyone,
It is frustrating for me. I have been eating healthy, counting calories, and exercising 45min -60min daily and remain the same weight. I don't know what else to do.
I see everyone losing weight but what am I not doing?
Me.
Its hard to give you any advice with so little information. What's your gender, age, height and weight? How many calories do you eat per day? What kind of exercise do you do, and how many calories does it burn?
There are a lot of possibilities. For example - over-eating, under-eating, under-estimating your calories, losing fat but gaining muscle, excess sodium, water retention, exercise that's too easy, lack of variation with your exercise.

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
