My diet consists pretty much of nothing but fruit. I don't sit around eating it all day. I may have a cup of grapes a day and an apple. half a bananna. I mean I have cereal and oatmeal and things like that too, but not every day. Some days at the end of the day, I find that I have eaten nothing but fruit the entire day. Is there such thing as eating too much fruit? Also, I would not gain weight because of this would I ? ( I run aprx. 4 days a week for one hr)

Although fruit is good, too much of anything is not so good. You body needs protein, fats and carbs. I try to get about 50% of my calories from carbs, 25% from protein, 25% from fat. For carbs (your fruit) try to also include vegetables and whole grains.
Also, with a fruit-only diet, I worry you might not be getting enough food. You should be eating 1200 calories each day at a minimum--lots more if you are running.

First of all you are missing out protein and fat. And if you are eating a generous amount of fruits within your calorie limit, you won't gain weight. However calories DO add up and they can make you fat b/c fruits do have sugar and calories. By cutting out protein you will also lose muscles and when you start eating lots of other stuff besides fruits you will gain quickly.
You're not getting enough calories which can push you into starvation mode.
Case in point.
You may have heard how vegetarians have a hard time getting all the protein and vitamins they need. Well, their diet is more diverse than just fruit, they eat tofu, vegetables, and all sorts of goodies and they still have trouble. Imagine how much less you are getting if you eat only fruit. Not a good thing.
Diversify your diet. Or if you absolutely can't, go with tropical fruits...some people in the tropics live off mostly fruit and you'll notice tropical fruits like mango, papaya, etc. have higher carbs and more calories. But that still isn't good enough really. YOu simply must eat protein and fat.

Yes, it is possible. Is it a good idea? No. Your body needs the proper balance of protein, fats, and complex carbs to operate. Feeding it only carbs will not do the trick.
What ilisa said :)
You can survice with fruits, yes you most likely wont gain weight, but you won't be able to keep the result, or be healthy for that matter. I had fruits (mango mostly because the fiber kept me full) one summer, even with cheating with some other food during the day, I can tell you. Ain't working. Sure I got flat board stomach for that month. But right after the flabbies come right back :p

Unfortunately only eating fruit does not lead to a balanced diet.
You also need protein, fat and another source of carbohydrates if you want to be healthy. Add in some chicken or fish, fresh veggies, brown bread and olive oil and avocado to make your diet more healthy. Keep eating the fruit though-its a great start to a healthy diet!
