possibly excited- is this my metabolism revving up?
i generally have a pretty slow metabolism despite well-spaced meals, healthy eating, and exercise. i started (today was the first) planning one day a week to eat substantially more calories than usual to make sure my metabolism doesn't slow down further... i had an extra meal of a very small piece of chicken, a little spinach, an apple, a spoonful of soynut butter, a few cookies and a lil cake (cuz i NEVER have much refined sugar) and about an hour later i was BOILING!! i was lightly sweating with the AC on- is this my metabolism speeding up?
changes in metabolic rate take a week or 3 and they arent just dependant on having an extra meal...... not so much to the point that it makes u very warm anyway.
while extra food will help rev it up, it wont have a huge impact on ur metabolism. perhaps incorperating some intense exercise where u get ur heart rate right up for mayb 30mins-1hr and lifting weights will help u develop muscle mass, which in turn wil help increase metabolic rate.... but
today i dont think it was...id say it was just warm out... sorry
lol o darn. and i do intense exercise for 30min- 1hr 5 days a week and i also alternate doing arm workouts and stomach workouts every other day...
do squats this gets ur quads glutes and calves, the machines in the gym are also good for back and shoulder muscles. u use subscapularis latisimus dorsi trapezius and deltoids.
abs are also good but u can do more that just the usual sit up which only targets ur upper abs.... reverse situps and using the ball is also very good
are u sure ur metabolism is slow?? and what is ur calorie intake .... and weight if u dont mind me asking?
Could it have been estrogen?
Do you have lots of energy too? I experienced this kind of hot flash and a huge jump in energy. I was eating really well and working out 5x per week. Doing aerobics 3x and walking the other days. I was told this is what it feels like to be in a really healthy state. I'm not sure if it is your metabolism, but what is the scale telling you? If it's going down you must be doing something right :)

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
