Post your before and afters!
When I was losing weight, I used to love seeing peoples before and afters, just seeing the transformations were awesome. But for some reason it's hard to find any on the internet without the pics being associated with some weight loss product. So post yours here!

Incredible trainman! What obvious dedication - and all in a year's time! It's amazing what our minds and bodies are capable of, isn't it? I think you looked great at all of your weights, but I'm sure you're feeling much healthier nowadays :) Just know that if the six-pack ever fades, you're still lovely.
Yeah, you are a guy. You are a YOUNG guy. So I was thinking this doesn't apply to us old farts (of the female gender). It's way too embarrassing to have all your cellulite and stuff hanging out. Then I thought -- wait a minute, I'm not going to pose in a bikini or anything. So TODAY I am having my husband start taking pictures. Can't wait to have a montage like yours, showing MY weight loss! (Well, without the 6-pack. That would be kind of creepy.)
Thanks for the inspiration!!!
trainmanup...dude! wow! did you do P90 or P90X or something else?
kshelby...haha im with you on that 6-pack girl :)
my before is in my gallery, my halfway is my avi (well for a day or two). nothing so inspirational, but minus 8 lbs certainly feeeeeels amazing.
Holy moly! Hot stuff baby! I just had to put that out there ;)
I completely agree that you looked great at all your weights. Congrats on your wonderful success and thank you for posting your updates!
Its absolutely amazing how much the body can change! I mean I also have a tattoo, mine is rather large, from my shoulder down my left side over the tummy and then a little on the thigh and one of the things that I noticed as I started loosing was that my tat looked different. And so does yours!!!
Skin...you gotta love it!
Thats it! I'm getting my photos out and I'm starting a little photo diary!
thank you!
I totally agree with you! When I was trying to lose the weight my greatest inspiration was seeing before and after photos of others who were trying to lose weight/get in shape/get healthy. I still look for these pictures to help inspire me to continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle. My pictures are posted in my gallery. The true before picture is the one that was uploaded on September 4, 2007 and the final after picture is the one that was uploaded on June 2, 2008. I hope that it helps others realize that it can be done. It is not easy, but it IS possible. ![]()
I wonder if those companies that tout the unnatural weight loss promises, steal those photos for their ads? just something to keep in mind?
thanks for sharing yours though. Looks like all your hard work paid off!
Hey dude,
Great job! I am curious what your diet is. I have been body building / weight training for 13 years. I am 6'3", 250lbs... I am cut, but not as cut as you. I do cut when I do the 12 weeks "Body for Life" routine. But I get bored with it and want to do something different.
Just curious what your are doing. Tell me how much cardio you are doing a week to.
THanks
Well this may not be fair of me - because it has taken me a long time to lose weight - about 2 1/2 years....... I'm not to my goal yet - and I wonder if I will ever be!! Actually I don't even know what my goal is - it's not really a number, more a feeling!!! - I want to feel good in my body - I want to feel confident - I want to accept who I am the way I am - I'm just not there yet.....But I am much happier than I was!!! I started out @ 248, I went to the Dr and they almost had to move the scale to the 250 and I knew that something had to be done!! I am currectly about 160 - I had gotten to 154 but had a set back - just now trying to get back on target!! Thanks for letting me share!!

great pics everyone-- mine are in my gallery, but do wish I had taken some at each stage.
The before pic actually nudged me into taking better care of myself, thankfull for DD wanting a pic of her Mom & Dad.
I think those photos for ads have mucho photoshop work done on them-- just like the models do for magazines.
have a wonderful journey!
nolzgirl,
You have done great. You look awesome! What an acomplishment!
You should feel confident. You look awesome! I am sure your husband or boyfriend is very happy. You are very beautiful!
What is your diet and workout routine?
"Great job! I am curious what your diet is. I have been body building / weight training for 13 years. I am 6'3", 250lbs... I am cut, but not as cut as you. I do cut when I do the 12 weeks "Body for Life" routine. But I get bored with it and want to do something different.

My diet is nothing special at all, I wake up, have a bowl of Total, with skim milk, and throughout the day I take in about 2600 calories, usually eating stuff like like bananas, deli sandwiches from Ralphs, Nature Valley Bars, Watermelon, 94% fat free popcorn, Wasabi and soy sauce Almonds (my favvooriitteee), some deli turkey with low carb tortilla's, Kashi Go Lean Honey Almond Flax Cereal.
I usually mixed and matched those along with a few other similar items eating a snack every 1-2 hours. I never eat big meals (with the exception of the occasional sandwich).
As for my cardio, I do the elliptical about 3 days a week for 30 minutes, plus a 5 minute cooldown, while on it, I do the interval training, and sustain 180 strides per minute in low resistance, then 195 or so on the resistance increases. During my weight loss I never lifted weights, only because I knew I still had plenty of muscle left over from before I got fat, I just needed to burn off enough fat to see it lol.
On the days that I don't do cardio tho, I'm usually rock climbing, either at a local in-door rock gym for 1.5-2 hours, or real climbing out doors, it's become my obsession for the last couple months.
Thanks all for posting here, hope mine and others posts here help in any way possible, keep up the good work!
Wow - nolzgirl- similar story took me that long too, but the new feeling is awesome!
started at 225, now 115-- feel like I can conquer anything and feel at least 10 years younger!
congrats!
This is my 'so far' picture. The before was 235'ish and the after was 175. I still want to get down to 150-155. I don't think you can tell that much since I didn't purposely take the pictures to be before and after so they're not full body but I think you can still tell the difference. http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj11/mrsmu eller5187/beforeafter.png
Awesome! Thanks for letting me know.
I am always curious how people do and what things worked for them. With nutrition and training you are always going to learn something new.
My workout routine is weight training medium to heavy weight 4 to 5 days a week and I do cardio on an elliptical or run 25 to 30 minutes 2 days a week in the evening. So this means hitting the gym 2 times in a day 2 days a week.
Every 8 weeks I take a week off from lifting weights to let the body rest and recover, mainly my joints. During that week of not lifting I just do cardio. I am almost 40, since I got into my mid 30's until now, my joints sometimes need a break from weights. I don't lift as heavy as I used to back in my mid 20's when all I thought about was getting size. Mainly just maintence now.
I have thought of changing it up completely and trying something like what you are doing and stop weights, but I enjoy lifting so much. It is hard to get away from it.
My diet is low carb diet with fresh veggies and fruit and lots of chicken and fish. I will eat steak once in awhile. I try to stay away from bread, but I do eat brown rice and baked potatoes, but I must admit, I do love bread and I will eat it a few times a month. And I love chocolate, but I try not to go over board with it. Try to eat a small bowl of ice cream or a candy bar now and then when I crave it.
Rock climbing is a great workout. I ought to do it. When I was in the military, I did a lot of it. I have pretty big rocks by my house that I see people climb when I hike through the hill, I ought to go try it on a Saturday.
Thanks again for the info.
