I am a 24 year old female and I've been in full recovery (without a severe relapse) for Anorexia for 2.5 years now and follow a meal plan. Although I was very compulsive exerciser when in the depth of my illness, I still like to encorporate healthy exercising into my lifestyle but want to avoid the gym (my mind easily slips back into an unhealthy state when I workout there becuase of how compulsive I once was). Does anyone else struggle with this?
Is there anyone out there who is also in the recovery phase of Anorexia who has found healthy exercises outside of the gym to keep them active, healthily tone/fit while maintaining their weight?
I am just in need of some alternatives. I don't want to risk engaging into my old behaviors, I just want to maintain my weight and stay tone.
tdianea: hi(: im still in the weight gain part of my recovery so im not currently allowed to exercise. i was also a pretty compulsive exerciser so ive ben thinking about how i will keep a positive relationship with working out when i am able to again. i think it would be fun to take some hip hop dance lessons for like beginners or something because it would be activity but be fun also
