Hey every one, I was jus wondering if theres any mums out there who are still struggling to get the Post-Baby belly to go away... I had my son 18 mths ago, and I still have that ugly pooch belly... Jus wonderin if Im the only one...
=)
I had my second child 2 years and 3 months ago and I've still got the tummy :( I'm not convinced that it ever goes away for some people. Others however lose it completely. My friend looks like she's never had a baby at all and could wear a teenie weenie polka dot bikini if she wanted to.
I feel bad calling myself a post baby mommy... but I am. My daughter just turned 2 and I am struggling to lose the weight I have maintained since I had her. I want to go back to prepregnancy weight of 130 but I am stuck here at 165... My biggest problem being my belly... can't seem to get rid of that flab!
Ha! Me too! I had twins two years ago..my second pregnacy and second c-section! I got down to 120 pounds just last year, but I think it was a mix of medication and heavy diet restrictions...so of course I gained it all back. Though last year I still had the poked out gut. Mine is a little higher though, the lower part close to my scar is just a flab, but tighter than the upper part. I think it is mostly because of the hiatal hernia behind my belly button (which is also higher now) and the fact that my muscles are still a bit weak there...i've got the upper abs, down, and defined but the middle around my bellybutton is a wreck!!! I hope it goes soon, but yeah i'm with ya on the skinny moms who never get the gut...i think that is just genetics though.
that's funny....there are three of us now..who's kids are 2 years old and we still have our bellies...so we are freaks yeah!! the odds are too high to be consider annomollies!
Im stuck at 160.. and I cant get rid of this belly =( .. Im guna try really hard with resistance exercises... especially the one where you lay on your belly, propped up onto your elbows, and then you lift your body, So you are balancing on y our elbows and fore arms, and your toes.. While keeping your back/body in a straight line.. Its really hard, but It tightens Everylittle muscle in your belly.. Im guna try and do like 10 sets of 30 seconds each day.. and see if I notice anything... (Also will be watching my calories, walking lots, and drinking mroe water..)
I know lotsa ppl who bounced back to pre-baby with in a couple weeks... =(
syleen the exercise you are referring to is called a plank. Those are awesome but be sure to pull your bellybutton in so to speak to your spine, keeping the core as tight as possible will make this a great workout. If you want to amp it up, do a leg lift while in the plank position. Just lift your heel up towards the ceiling as you are on your toes and eblows...then count 30 reps...those are way better! Also if you can get to a pull up bar, leg lifts are great at fightin ghte lower flab...no if i can just figure out how to get the middle flab away!! it's weird i dont have a tire or love handles, just that pudge that sticks out around my belly button, like the fat parted like the red sea! gross! it's only okay looking in the morning when i wake up and am a bit dehydrated...lol
Hi there, I've red that if I'm going to breastfeed my baby I loose my weight much faster....I can say it's not true, from the time my baby was born I've geined another 14lbs. My baby is 8 months old now. :) but I still keep my hopes up. Wish You all good luck with the weight loss :))
I hear you, because I'm getting really frusterated with my belly!!! I have three kids and my youngest is 16 months old and I feel like I have lost all stomach muscle tone forever!!! My tummy is still so flabby - if I suck it in, it's about 2 inches smaller so I know that it's not all fat.. although I still need to lose 5 lbs.. but I'm sure it will come off of everywhere but there!!!
I've been trying the tupler technique from the 'Lose your Mummy Tummy' girl - I've been using resitance bands, and doing pilates for my abs and honestly it doesn't feel like any of it is working!!!
So... if anyone finds a miracle cure (without involving surgery) please let me know!!! ![]()
Good thing my kids were worth it.
I have a 5 yr old and an 18 month old...My stomach never went away...Now I am working out and eating more healthy and seem to be making some progress. It is deff harder after the 2nd child. Good luck...
I have always had a belly. After I had my DS it took only a month or so for all of the pregnancy weight to go away. Other than being pregnant I was at my heaviest at 188 pounds. While I have only lost 14lbs of it so far I can tell a difference in my stomach already. Its smaller, but will say I don't expect to ever have a completely fat stomach. A smaller less flabby stomach maybe..perfect NO. I have too many tiger stripes for that.
I have an almost 3 yr old and a 1 year old. Still have the belly which is why I'm on here trying to get rid of it. I did loose all the weight from the 2nd one...but with the first I gained more than I should have...thank you drs for telling me I need to gain right with the charts! ugh...well you are deff not the only one!
I have an 8 month old and have been working on weight loss hard since January. My highest weight was 208, and today I weighed in at 172.4. I can't complain too much except my goal was to be 150 by now. I did WW for the first 4 months then plateaued and fell off the wagon. I put on about 5 lbs. since stopping WW and decided to give CC a try. So far not too bad (2.6 lbs in 2 weeks). I hope I can keep on track this time.
I do agree with the others on the skinny moms who bounce back right after the baby. My sister in law is one of those and she is always making it very obvious when we are together that she has been able to get back into her regular size 0 clothes again 4 months after having her baby! At least now I am able to wear my preprego clothes again even though it did take some time and lots of will power!!!
Good luck to all you moms out there!!!!
