I'm fairly new. My 15 year old daughter introduced me to this site. She found a thread for the younger crowd to buddy up and I didn't happen to find one anywhere else. So here I am. I NEED a buddy!!
I'm a 35yr old female with husband, 4 kids and a dog. I am an emotional eater and an eater for fun. I love to eat. Now I need to kick my bad habits and try to shed at least 50lbs. I weigh 200lbs![]()
I feel kind of dumb. I just found the thread for new members. Maybe I can find a buddy there. ![]()

I do not have a buddy. I have 3 grown kids, and 2 step children.
I am 53 years old....5'6' (present weight 187) When I began the Journey of weight loss I was at 212..........FATEST, I ever ever been in my life. Size 18
pants........Oh HELL NO!! So I went to a weight loss Dr. I weigh in and get a Vitamin B12 shot every 2 weeks. Other than the diet list...not much support from that angle. But, defineately a NEW life style.
I started putting all my food on this log.......an eye opener for sure. I am addicted to this space now. I find it has helped me more than my Weight Loss Doctor.
Anyway, I am the TURTLE in a RABBIT race.........but it is slowly melting off my body.

Hi I'm 35 yrs old, single, am a comfort eater and boredem eater. I need a buddy for when I feel like my only option is to eat to make myself feel better. Just tell me it may be short term, but being a healthy weight can be long term.

We can do this! I just made myself an omelet with egg whites, bell pepper, mushroom, green onion and tomato. I think it took me an hour to cook and eat breakfast. I've got to figure out a faster way to eat healthy!
I'm really in need of almost daily support. I don't know how much you need to lose, but I need to lose over 50lbs. I'm trying to get my hubbie to get on this site and do it with me...we'll see. He doesn't need to lose as much as I do, but it would sure be nice to have him do it with me. It would be that much easier.
I was good nearly all day Sunday until 8:00ish and had a takeaway and drink with a friend. I don't think I went too much over 2100. I'll just call it a cheat day and pick up as normal today.
BTW I have 57lbs to lose. This will get me to a comfortable weight I know I can maintain. Then I'll see how I feel about losing another15 - 20lbs.

I love to eat egg whites for B-fast and my wife and I have it down to a 10 minute deal. On the weekend or when we have a chance we sautee up some choped ham Steak (the right ham steak is 98% fat free and only has 30 calories per ounce). and sautee up some onions, peppers etc and store it in a tuperware for the whole week. So in the morning I heat the pan with the ham and onions and seperate my eggs (I prefer to seperate rather than buy the egg whites) while the ham warms. I then put the eggs in and BAM we have awesome egg white omelets cooked, cleaned up after and consumed in ten minutes. An omelet should be cooked in under 5 minutes if you have the heat right. You could almost cook an omlet in 2 minutes if you used the very nice pan and only 3 eggs. My wife eats a scramble every morning and that literally takes just 90 seconds to cook. I only use Pam and generally I have a 4 to 6 egg omelet and I am at only 130 calories or so, sometimes I add a Bannana or a bowl of Bran Shredded wheat and I can create a very high protein, low fat and high Fiber breakfast. It is almost too good to be true as far as keeping up with the corect percentage of calories.

I've been calorie counting since Aug 2007, fell off around my birthday [Oct] and didn't start back up till Jan 08. I didn't start reading the forums till a couple of months ago. This is the first time I've felt like responding to or making friends with anyone.
I'm 50 yrs old, 5"4", female with hubby, 3 kids, a dog and a bird. I also love to eat. I quit smoking in July of 07 and the weight started creeping up, I had been holding at 170-175 for about 4 yrs.(Still too heavy)
Joined Weight Watchers in August, after looking at vacation pictures. Weight Watchers worked for awhile till I learned how to cheat! Quit going after my Birthday and gaining a couple lbs.(We have several birthdays in Oct, Nov, & Dec)
Anyhow, was out working in Jan (I work for the Census Bureau and travel several local counties) when I saw an LA Weight Loss Center. Stopped in for their free consultation and lo and behold I now weighed 199lbs! Thought the program too expensive at that time. I came home and started calorie counting again. They called me in Mar with a 1/2 price special, so I joined up 3/4/08. I am on week 17 and have lost 22 lbs so far! (177 lbs) My goal is 145lbs, only 32 more to go!
I would love to have a motivational buddy. I love to cook and I'm always looking for new recipes and have some great ones to share!
