Since we have so many recent YCC posts asking for buddies with similar stats, I thought I would make a master post for you all to use, if you want to.

If you are looking for a buddy, post your stats here. If you find someone, you can PM them, post to their journal, or you guys can create your own group and make a new thread just for your group. Whatever works best!

Just please remember to keep it healthy! Weight loss or weight gain, please keep it healthy and in compliance with the posting guidelines.

I'm sixteen, 5'4" and about 150 lbs give or take. I want to drop about 25 pounds before the next school year starts mainly to lose weight and to get in shape for P.E. next year because we have to run straight for about forty minutes, give or take.

 

I would absolutely love a buddy. Just started, though. And I don't have a scale. So I'm gonna work on getting one.

hi noreen,

i would double check to see if your goal is really healthy for you. I am also 5'6 and I checked what is the lowest possible weight i could be, while still being healthy and not underweight, and it said 124 (according to BMI)...

 

and of course, if you are planning to tone up and gain lean muscle mass, then this would make you weigh more, despite being healthy (and the BMI wouldnt be fully accurate). it's weird, I just recently had a battery of tests taken for a physiological science course that i am taking and even though i weigh 153 pounds (which BMI says is considered slightly overweight), I have 72% lean body tissue (healthy for women is between 64 and 88%)...so you really cant go solely by the number on the scale!

hey paulina i'm 17 and about 5'2" and i think 97 lbs...i'd like to get back to where i was before, a little over 90, and i'm trying to get over binge-eating...love the accountability of a buddy (and everyone still asks if i'd like a children's menu)

I'm not in to wight loss as much as making healthier decisions about the foods i eat.  I gave up fast food like BK and popeye's for my new year's resolution.  I've stuck to it so far.  I am 5'6" and 116 lbs.

I'm not really looking into losing weight, but I love motivating people into eating and living healthier! (I could always tone up some more, though!) I like to eat healthy, and I rarely eat meat (somewhat of a vegetarian! Do you have any good recipe swaps?) Im 24.. i weigh 138 as of a few min ago :) my goal is 120 by June for my birthday! I work out a lot then I stop for a few days or few weeks. i was sick for 2weeks couldnt make it to the gym the hardest thing was getting back into the routine and im sick again.. stupid winter..I try to walk 2miles and some other type of cardio for 30 min..most days of the week..about 5-6. I am an absent minded eater, and an all or nothing kinda gal.  I'd love to have someone just to share progress and maybe some tough love!

Someone who is married, and is a taller lady with a lil extra weight who understands!  Husbands can be a pain in the butt when it comes to losing weight. They just dont get it sometimes... hehe
