Post holiday glutton

Quote  |  Reply

Well, the holidays are over. No matter how I tell myself how strict I am going to be during the holidays I fail miserably. All it takes is that box of chocolates at the office, home made goodies left and right, and eating out. Blam there goes my diet and the only reps I find my self doing are multiple sets of 100 hand to mouthFrown

This year there was something different though. I kept working out until our local Y classes broke for two weeks. I did not beat myself and kept getting back up and dusting myself off. I would eat one day and forget it the next and eat clean. I would break another day, forget it the next and ate clean. I did not give up entirely this year. I did not say "screw it" I already failed might as well eat everything I want. I kept fighting, I was able to keep fighting!!!!

I guess what I learned is, that during this life changing journey I will not be perfect. My eating will suck some days. My butt will not get off the couch on occasion. But, it is ok because I can do better the next day! I don't have to give up over being human. I did not get fat over night, and I sure as heck am not going to be thin over night.

Take it day by day, give your self a break, tomorrow is a new day....I will still love you if you are not perfect and you should love yourself unconditionally too!

I understand that it is really hard to control your food intake during the holidays! *is a victim as well* I have been telling myself to get back on track but it does not seem to be working.. sigh. Well, today is a brand new day and I just got up! I cannot wait to start afresh. ;)

I wasn't as bad this year as other years, but I wasn't terribly good either. But not going to beat myself up too much. I'm getting back on track. I seem hungrier now that before. Might have stretched my stomach.

This is a great attitude.  You're going to be fine, just hang in there.  Attitude is everything.
