Post Meals, Share Information, Weigh in every Monday! Everyone welcome
Hi Everyone,
*So I've revised this group because I want to be able to share information, get ideas, and be held accountable. I think by having more members that I will benefit more from it!
Since there are a lot of us Maritimers here I thought I would create a group where we can connect and have weekly weigh-ins. I'm also going to track my inches because losing inches is my main target right now.
I'll be posting my starting stats tomorrow morning and we'll have the weekly weigh-in every Monday! Maybe this will help us curve our weekend appetites :)
Please add anything else you wish to share ..i.e receipes, daily menu, workouts etc.
Jenn (NS)
I feel so much better this morning! I must've been bloated or something and that's why I was up to my starting weight yesterday, because today I am back to what I weighed on Monday.
Todays plan-
B- shreddies, 1% milk, flaxseed
L- turkey sandwich on multigrain, apple, fat free pudding
Supper- mixed veggies and turkey with sesame ginger sauce
Snacks for the day- apple, banana, 1 serving of rice cake things
My favorite tip for today is this: eat your supper (if possible) using chopsticks. It forces you to eat slower giving your brain a chance to register fullness. A couple of days ago I was eating my veggies and turkey with them and my 5 and 3 yr/olds thought it looked fun so they ate most of my lunch (the veggies were cauliflower, broccoli and carrots!)
Ditto here on the freezing rain Jenn. School was canceled, so my son has a 5 day weekend.
Steph - YAY for just being bloated :) I get like that sometimes and I hate it!
Wow, never thought of using chopsticks...that would definately slow down the eating process for me, I'm no good with chopsticks...I'm sure I embarrass my fiance everytime we go for sushi :p
The weather is awful! It will be a wet walk home...but its "FRIDAY" hehe. I'm coming your way this weekend Steph, heading to my parents place for easter in Parrsboro but will be in Moncton on Sat :) OH and I'm trying on my wedding dress for the first time ... can't wait to see how it fits!
Happy EASTER
Haha...that's the funniest thing I've heard today "Yay for just being bloated" lol
I'm not very good with chopsticks either- I wouldn't try that trick in a restaurant, only in the privacy of my own home. You should see me try to eat rice with the things, it's not a pretty sight!
My husband and I had been talking about going to Moncton on Thurs/Fri just for shopping, but decided to stick close to home- I can't imagine what the roads are like! I have to go to choir practice tonight but it's less than 5 minutes away.
Have fun this weekend, beware the tons of Cadbury cream eggs that are everywhere!
It's a busy busy weekend here, but I am doing well sticking to my cal count. The last 2 days I didn't eat all I was supposed to, but I came close.
Exercise is the one thing that I need to make a point of doing- As long as I'm awake enough and have enough energy when I get home tonight, I'll do my core exercise.
Today is my son's bday, and I made his cake and a batch of cookies last night. We'll be having ice cream to go with that cake as well not to mention the Easter egg hunt on for tomorrow- lots and lots of sugar abound, good luck to everyone this weekend! Eat with Monday in mind! :)
Last night I made a huge meal of fried rice, garlic-veggie pizza and carrot cake for dessert. and the night before *gasp* truck stop food!
Starting today I'm eating well :)
The day has started off well lemon tea and oatmeal with brownsugar. Lunch will be small, and I'm being cooked supper tonight, so we shall see how that goes.
How's everyone doing with the Easter chocolate? Darn Easter goodies... I guess a friend has bought me a big chocolate easter bunny that he's going to give me this week *sigh*. I'll have to try and freeze the darn thing in snack size pieces.
Today is not going to be a good counting day for me, I started off the morning with breakfast at my church (3 slices of bacon, 1 piece of toast, 1 pancake, 1 cup of OJ, 2 cups of coffee), came home and had 2 cookies and some rice chips, and I'm heading off for a family meal. When we get back home Easter egg hunt time.
Here's hoping the scales will be nice to me tomorrow! :)
Happy Easter!

Hi Ladies,
As promised.
Height: 5'6
Weight: 143.5
Inches:
Bust: 35
Waist: 35
Hips: 40 (Steph-I've always seen them measure about mid way down your bottom and around!)
I'll add my inches tonight (couldn't find my tape)!!
Good luck :)
Ok...first weigh in
Weight: 140 (down 3.5 lbs)
Bust: 35 (no change)
Waist: 35 (no change)
Hips: 39 (down 1 inch)
Ok...so I know I could have definitely done better but my weekend eating was awful and so I think the extra 2 lbs I was missing earlier in the week came back on Sunday! lol
Good luck everyone :)
Hi Everyone...
Sorry I haven't posted in awhile but it was a busy weekend at my parents :) I didn't eat great this weekend but I did a lot of exercising... Here are my stats for this week.
Weight: 138.5 (down 1.5)
Bust: 35 (no change)
Waist: 35 (no change)
Hips: 39 (no change)
Hoping to get back on track this week. I tried my wedding dress on for the first time since its come in and its a little snug thru the hip area...the lady said I need to lose 1-2 inches off my hips for it to feel comfortable and lay nicely :)

Height- 5'6" Current weight- 125.2pds Goal weight- 110-115
waist- 30"
hips/thighs (I don't really know where one ends and the other begins)- 37"
weight- 124.2pds
waist- 30"

weight- 123.4
Don't even ask me how that happened, I was dreading the weigh in this morning because I didn't exercise or eat well yesterday. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, I guess!
I didn't start the day really great either (I had some easter eggs and a cookie to go along with my cereal), but today I get back on track! Again!
Has your fiance seen your dress Jenn?
Good job on the loss! :)
B: Special K Bar, Activia Yogurt
S: Almonds
L: 6 inch turkey sandwich from Subway with, tomatoes, light mayo, cheese and mustard
S: I have nothing else :( Need groceries
D: Going to my father-inlaw's for dinner! Roast Beef..... :) yum
No, steph my fiance hasn't seen my dress, nor will he until the day I walk down the aisle....bad luck you know :p
Wk 1: 138
Wk 2: 137.5
Wk 3: 135.5 =) down another 2!
Yay on the weight loss Sarah and Jenn!
oy. i've been on spring break/traveling with friends for the past 3 days. just airports, buses, trains, fast food, desserts for dinner, etc.
anyway, i just weighed in tonight, i usually do it in the mornings when I weigh the least, hehe, but i just got back a couple of hours ago.
last week: 129
this week: 131.5
i'm a bit discouraged, but also surprised that the damage isnt much much worse! seriously, from the way i've been eating, i expected to gain crazy amounts of weight (or water weight).
keep up the good work ladies! I'm joining you guys back on the wagon.
opalaurora, I'd say you did pretty good for being away and weighing in the evening! I try never to weigh myself in the evening because I tend to gain 3-4pds during the day!
Yesterday was not a good day, I didn't have any structured meals and snacked on the Easter candy that was abundant, today however, will be different.
B- shreddies, 1% milk, flaxseed
L- chicken sandwich on multigrain with a side salad and pickles
Snacks- apple, mandarin
Supper- mixed veggies, chicken, maybe some wholegrain rice
Exercise- haven't done it yet, but I'm going to do my core exercises and work off 300 cals on the bike today.
On a side note- my husband and I love finding good buys, and have a hard time passing them up. Case in point- last night he brought home 9 boxes of Chips Ahoy cookies because he got them on sale for 50 cents a box. I was like "hmmm...thats a great deal dear..." They're sitting there in the bags still, tempting and tormenting me. I've got to get them out of sight!! lol
Not a great day for me. I desperately need groceries, going tonight for sure!!!
B: Special K bar
S: Almonds
L: Subway again (same as yesterday)
S: nothing :(
D: no idea...
Steph, I can't believe you have that many cookies in your house!! But that was an awesome deal :) Good luck at keeping out of them, I know you can do it!!
cookies are my downfall too, haha, be strong!
I just went grocery shopping and bought sugarfree cookies. I try to avoid sugar substitutes, but I figured once in a while is okay.
today so far:
bfast - blueberry bagel w/ cream cheese
snack - a few chocolate espresso beans
lunch - turkey and swiss on wheat, sugarfree shortbread cookies
plans for later:
dinner - chicken salad w/ romaine
snack - unsweetened applesauce
just curious, how would you guys describe a salad that you top with chicken salad (instead of just chicken)?
is that called a chicken salad salad or what?
anyways, thats what i plan on doing for dinner, haha.

haha!! funny!
And about the cookies- I'll keep one box on the top cupboard shelf, but the rest are going in the attic! We have this thing about buying bulk...one time Walmart had Lays on for $1 (reg. $2.50) a bag and we bought about 30 bags!! lol (and I wonder how I put the weight on...)
30 bags of lays, oh man I'd be as big as all outdoors lol.
Started my morning with my Turbo Jam tape :) Keener I'll tell ya. Can't believe its Wednesday already!! I got to University part time so I'm at school tomorrow, friday and sat...hopefully I can keep up my eating.
B: Half Carnation Instant Breakfast with skim milk, half grapefruit, banana
S: Carrots w/hummus
L: Turkey Sandwich on 12 grain with lf swiss and light mayo, cucumber slices
S: 100 cal pack of these rice cake cinnamon thingys
D: Chicken Burger w/ww bun, light mayo and side salad
W/O: Legs & Butt Sculpting Exercises from my new book I was telling you about " The Body Sculpting Bible" Swimsuit Workout. It came last week from ebay, over night!! Its a great book, all things I needed to know.
Good Luck everyone!
OHHHHH and I guess I forgot to mention that I ate a WHOLE bag of crispers last night ![]()
Jenn, I know where you're coming from- been there!! My latest downfall is those Quaker rice cracker things, the tortilla sour cream and salsa flavor- they taste just like chips and when I sit down with the bag (mistake #1) with every one I eat I say in my head "well, it's only 60 cals for 8 of them". The next thing I know I've eaten the whole shebang and it cost me 420 cals. Yikes!
Yesterday I didn't stick exactly to my food plan...I tossed in a few extras while watching a movie last night. Poutine and loaded nachos. Not good! I take a little bit of consolation knowing that I worked off 800 cals on my bike though.
B- honey nut Cheerios, 1% milk, flaxseed
L- apple, 1 C homemade chili, 15 tortilla chips
Snacks- fat free pudding, apple with PB, mandarin orange
Supper- ww pasta, veggies, beef strips
It's snowing here again- it's says only 2-4 cms but the sky has that look- the one that says "I could do this alllll day"
I didn't do my core workout yesterday, so I'm going to go do that right now before my get up and go gets up and leaves.
