hi. which do you think is the best snack after a 2.5 mile run?
1)a bagle (food doctor bagle) with 1 laughing cow wedge and 2 slices turkey ham and an apple
2)an apple and 1 slice toast with peanut butter?

It's been my experience that you should eat simple carbs within 20 minutes of running and complex carbs and protein in the 2 hours following a run. 4:1 ratio of carbs to protein. That being said, after experimenting, you'll find what works best for your body.
