Is there anyone else here that has had a baby recently. My son is 4 months old (born in June 06) and I returned to work when he was 2 months old. With 4 children total, I am very busy and have a hard time taking time for me. I would like some other postpartum moms to keep in contact with so we can support each other as we try to trim off the excess weight, be healthy, while being so incredibly busy.
I am 36 yrs old, 5'1, weigh 185 lb and want to lose 50 lbs. I want to eat nutriously, which is my main goal, but also really need to get back into shape.
I think it is easier to stick to something like weight loss when you hold your self accountable with others...anyone want to join in?
Edit: 10/27/06 Any moms can join even though this thread has already been going and has a great group of moms so far! Just post and we'll have an even larger group of us here supporting each other. And even if you don't have a new baby, that's okay too! We're a supportive group so feel free to join in!

Hi to all the Moms out there!! I would love to join and I am looking for support as well. I had a baby boy on Sept. 15th 06. I have a daugher that is 5 now. I just returned to work as well. It is very hard. I am a single Mom as well. I had two c-sections. I am now tryng to get my lower abbs back into shape and trying to loose 20 lbs as well. Im not really dieting, just eating more healthy. Im actully eating more than normal and working out. I eat three or four more times a day. I also joined a gym. I do cardo at least four times a week and toning a few times a week. I lost 5 lls. in two weeks since I started working out.

I gained 50 pounds from my pregnacy. My daughter is now 13 months. right way i lost 15 pounds. From 180 pounds 165 pounds. And couple of months later I went down to 155 pounds. I go to gym 3 or 4 time weekly. I didn't see any result. I can't go on diet, it would be very difficult for me. Now exactly after a year starting to lose weight very quickly. Now I came down to 137 pounds. I feels so much better.

Thanks sweetcurls. Many of us who first posted on this thread are still in contact via friends lists. Even though I haven't been consistent in my weight loss, I have lost 15.5 lbs since Oct 3rd when I started here on CC. I lost 18 lbs of baby weight in the first 4 months after the baby...so total since I came home from the hospital is technically 33.5 lbs.
My goal, I started here at 185 and want to be 135...so 50 lbs total!!!
I changed my goals to these:
Goal 1: 155 by 6/21/07
Goal 2: 135 by 1/1/08

Okay, so I almost reached my first goal of 155 by 6/21 except it was 159.5...pretty close!
So are there any new post-partum mommies out there?

I have a 2 year old son. Before I became pregnant with him, I weighed 135. I'm 5'4. I gained 60 pounds with him. Within a year, I lost 50. Became pregnant again. I gained 50 pounds. My daughter is now 7 months. So far, I have lost 30. Because when I was off on maternity leave, I worked my @ss off. Now that I'm back to work, like most people, between caring for the kids, housework, etc, etc, there is just not time to do work out. I am very disappointed with the way my body is right now. I have been trying to eat very healthy, and get as much movement as possible. Whether if it's playing with the kids, walking the dog. It is just so frustrating......
Help!!!!!!!! I need the reasuurance. I gained 60 pounds with my first daughter I was 135 before pregnant.I finally got down to 155 but before I lost any more weight I got pregnant with my second child and gained 60 pounds again.This time around I ate healthy but still gained alot of weight.My girls were big one 8lbs 2oz and my second 9lbs 2 oz. My second one is now 5 months and I now weight 185. I have been working my butt of in trying to loose weight I just feel physically drained taking care of my girls and trying to excercise...I really am loosing hope... I don't feel sexy anymore. I feel like my other half is even attracted to me anymore.......I want to loose 40 pounds to feel comfortable in my own skin then then loose the next 10-15 pounds gradually.......This is so stressfull.....I dont know what to do. I try to diet but It really isnt my thing. I drink lots of water don't drink sodas its the dieting on a low budget thats hurting me I don't know what to do

Hey guys my name is Yvonne i just had another baby girl Presidents day so she's 6 months now. I am 5'3'' 180 and I want to loose 50 pounds. I am absolutly miserable. I have already lost aprox 40 my prepregnancy weight with my first was 135 gained 65 and got up to 200 i was eating all the wrong things. I finally lost and got down to 165 and stayed there. Then got preg again and gained 55 eating all the right things. so i got 15 to get to my pre preg 165. i just dont know what to do anymore. My weight is stuck and I have been working out everyday. I dont know how to get pass that platu without killing myself LOL.......if anyone can help me i would really appreciate it email me at islachamorita@hotmail.com thank you soooooooo much. I started here at CC in October last year and it really helped to start losing weight. I'm on hold right now because of some personal things I'm taking care of...but use the tools here, change your lifestyle so that you're eating healthier and it will work.
I didn't have time to exercise and I still lost weight...I could never do that before. Logging your food really, really helps!

I was looking for some other moms who were trying to lose some weight too! Im 20 and I have a one year old! Im 5'6 155lbs I want to be 130 pre pregnancy weight.
