160 pounders- how many calories do YOU eat?

Quote  |  Reply

Okay so I am trying to lose, obviously, and I am eating roughly 1250-1300 a day. Haven't really been exercising the last few weeks, gonna start up again...I'm trying to lose 10 pounds that I want to stay off.

I wanted to know for other 160's out there, how much do you eat daily and why (how much are you trying to lose)

cheers :)

I'm happy to answer tis thread.  I weigh 160.5 pounds and I eat 1350 calories a day because that's what CC says to do and right now I have enoug food to do that.

However, to get ot 160 I ate 1200 calories, 1300 on exercise days, aaaaaand that's about it.  I'm coming from 220, trying to get to 120 and am well on my way.

Just check the tools and see how many calories it recommends you eat.  Best way to go about it.
i eat between 1200 and 1300 a day and im at 160 trying to get back down to 120 and i started at 198.

Right now I weight about 165 and I try to stay around 1400 calories, like CC recommends.  It really depends though, everyone is unique and different.

I know I have been dieting for about 1 month now and haven't lost any weight but it's so hard to stay under 1400 calories as it is!

I'm 166 down from 176 about 6 weeks ago.  I try to stay between 1200-1400 daily.  I had three days that were up around 1800-2000ish, thanks to eating out and thanksgiving.

I've read a lot of posts that suggest calorie fluctuation.  I think as long as you don't eat above whatever CC recommends for weight loss, thats fine.

My goal is 145

I'm 165 and I eat about 1700 - 1900 calories a day, but I'm pretty active.  I find that CC gives me a pretty low estimate for my calorie needs, or else I'm just more active than I think I am.

My goal is 145.

Jesse_k, how tall are you? Your calorie number, current weight and goal weight are very similar to mine. I'm pretty tall, (between 5'9 and 5'10"). It would be great to have a buddy with similar stats/goals!!!

I'm about 160, goal weight of 136, and I eat between 1700-1900. That's what CC told me, so I can reach my goal by May/June.

wow it's great to hear you guys!!!

I actually just have the temp goal of 150... from then I will set a goal of 140.... then at last 130... It helps to break down incriments for me lol/  good luck to all you guys!!!! I am pretty short, does anyone know if your taller if you lose weight more quickly... because it seems Im in a stump or something! lol.

That's awesome! keep up the good work!

Work out days 5x (Burn 400-600 calories) I eat 1,900-2,100 calories
Normal days (Seriously doing nothing...sat and sun) I eat 1,300-1,500

My goal is 137
I'm 42, 5'6 and don't count calories but probably eat somewhere in the neighborhood of 1800-2400 calories a day.  I don't weigh myself either but based on my clothing size I estimate I probably weigh somewhere in the 163-165ish range.  Over the past two weeks I haven't been exercising at all and I'm pretty much maintaining I think.  When I workout I lose at this calorie intake.

No real grand goal except to keep eating moderately and keep working out.  If my body wants to lose more weight then cool, if not then that's cool too.  I'm not going to force it.  I'm in a size 10 and i'm perfectly happy with that :)
I started at 162.  CC recommended 1600 calories for me, but most days I was around 1700 or 1750.  But then again, I was also working out every day.  I've lost 17 pounds so far!
