Prayers needed

Hello All,

I am asking for prayers for my sister, Phyllis Speck Maddix.  She is 55 years old and was diagnosed yesterday with Stage 4 throat cancer.

The cancer has spread to the extent that surgery is out of the question.  She will begin radiation treatments on August 8th.

She is my baby sister and I am terrified of losing her.  Please, those of you who can, keep her and all our family in you prayers.

Sharon~I am sorry to hear about your sister Phyllis.  Cancer is just terrible, I have dealt with 2 family members who have had it.  Please know that Phyllis in my prayers.  :)

Was she a smoker? Or a victim of second-hand smoke exposure, that seems to be on the rise.

Many, many thanks to everyone who has responded so quickly.  It is especially encouraging to hear from people from all across this great land of ours!

Yes, unfortunately she has been a smoker since she was 16.  I was also until three years ago when I quit. 

Again, I can't tell you how much having total strangers praying means to me and my whole family.  God bless you all.

Hello again,

Good news to report.  My sister had CAT scans of the lungs and abdomen and the cancer has NOT spread anywhere else except where originally detected.

The prayers are working!  Thank you, thank you, thank you and thank God.  Blessings to all who are continuing to pray.

I am praying for her right now... and remember that God gave us the authority to cast out all that is not of Him from us! Take conviction and command it from her- many healing happen this way!
