I am happy to be maintaining but feel like I'd like to weigh in with others who are also at pre-maintenance or actual maintenance. I hope that some of you will join me.
Any takers? We can support each other in those last 5 wiggle room lbs or whatever your goal is at this point in your journey.
The dates above are only reminders to post your weight weekly. If you find that Monday is a bad day, simply choose whatever day you want as your Monday’s weight. Also, please feel free to repost the most recent list at any time with your revised weight. The only rule here is that there are no rules.

Tomato: Yes, that could easily happen on one weigh-in. Still, I congratulate you on your consistency. You have been between 118 and 121 for about 3 months or more. Great job.
Jazz: Very impressive. Are you deliberately losing weight?

Hi shane paladin, sorry for the late reply, my target weight is 121 lb. well, i m happy with my present weight i m not complaining, 7 months back i used to fit in XL size, now whenever i wear S size dress , it gives me a real high. shane paladin, ur weight loss progress is really impressive, except for one diversion, what happened was the scale mal functioning. keep up ur hard work.Ur record is really v inspiring.
Hi, ladies! Thanks for weighing-in. I was hoping we could keep the thread alive. When I weighed the 178 I think it was a combination of water weight, sodium retention, needing Reading Room time, and having consumed too many calories over a 3-4 day periods.
Any one else that wants to join us is more than welcome.
You two definitely inspire me. Great job on your consistency. For two months I was the model of consistencey, but when I took October off, it sort of screwed everything up. For the last 9 days, I am having some trouble staying within my weight window. I was 3 above and now am 3 below. I think I finally got my metabolic engine back to burning at peak efficiency, so I am going to up my calories a bit.

OOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPPPHHSSSSSSSSSSSSss....shan e paladin, how on earth did u manage to loose so much weight in one week time, as usual ur records r really inspiring, i once heard Dr. Oz. saying u can always take U-Turns, well pl share ur tips how did u managed to stay so motivated, now a days i m facing lot of emeotional pressure to gain weight, whenever i visit my in-laws house they serve me cookies and deserts( i cannot resist sweets, its all or nothing situation)so that i will gain weight, any help how to tackle this odd situation.
once agin ur will power is phenomenal.
Jazz: I have a big advantage. I am older and know that I have made a life-style change for as long as I stay healthy. I don't have all the temptations that you do. I did go out East a few weeks ago and gain a bunch of weight, but since diet and exercise is my hobby, it was just a fun challenge to get the weight off. I have the time to exercise (light to moderate) a lot each day; you younger people don't have that luxury. I know what you mean about in-laws and temptations. I am wondering about the month of December, because we will have a houseful of people for an entire week. Always before I cooked prime rib, seafood by the boatloads, baby-back ribs, duckling, etc. My wife cooked roasts and dumplings and gravies and potatoes, etc. Plus, we had many kinds of beers and wines and chocolates, homemade and imported cookies, caramel popcorn, regular popcorn, cheeses, crackers, nuts, pub mix, etc. So I know what you mean.
In my case, I am a compulsive-obssessive personality type, so once I set my goals of losing weight, shrinking my fat stomach, and lowering my blood-pressure and cholesterol, it was very easy for me to motivate myself. There are times when I wonder why I am being so Spartan about my food, but then all I have to do to remind myself is that I do not want to take medication for high blood-pressure or high-cholesterol.
It helped me that my two daughters train for half and full marathons and my son has gotten into weight-lifting and running, too, so we all email each other and encourage each other. Then there are people who have motivated and encouraged me on Calorie Count, too.

Shane Paladin, u r an experienced man who has seen and done all that before, but still no one question the efforts u r putting in maintaing ur weight, ur words r really inspiring, well i always tell myself i have made changes for life, but sometimes i slip off, well whenever i will slip off in the future i will remeber ur words. i too want to make weight maintaince a hobby not something i do grudgingly( i miss sweets and choclates in my life).
