Pregnancy Changes - warning may be TMI

Quote  |  Reply

How far along were you when you noticed your breasts leaking? I am 25 weeks and discovered yesterday that if my nipples get squeezed, "stuff" comes out. Is this normal for this stage of pregnancy? TIA!

It really varies.  25 weeks is not wildly outside of the norm.

Your breasts start changing, gearing up to produce milk, practically the moment you conceive.

That didn't happen to be until I was about 35 weeks.  I am not sure when this is suppose to happen though.  So far I am 22 weeks along..and nothing :)

haha....

I would wake up leaky after having dreams about the baby around 22 weeks or so.  Sometimes it would be a lot, sometimes a little; but always when I was sleeping and dreaming about her!  how strange!

I'm 24 weeks now and it's been happening to me since 20 weeks, it also happens when i get *aroused*

I know my friend has been leaking for about 2 months now and she's due in November.  She has to wear those nipple shield things or change her shirts a few times/day.  Never been pregnant so I'm sorry I don't have more info for you but I do hope it reassures you.

I was 20 weeks for my son when I started leaking colostrum. Varied for every women and it is 100% normal.

thanks everyone! i wasn't sure if it was too early to have colostrum. this is the strangest part of the pregnancy so far. i can handle feeling baby move and even the nausea and vomitting haven't freaked me out. this is totally different, but at leas i know it's normal and i don't have to run out to the OB!

sunquest-  totally freaked me out too!  I woke up in front of my DH (it was a day nap-  a deep one)  I had huge circles in front of both my boobs; my hair was half out of my pony tail; i had drool all over my face; and was in such alarm when he walked into the room!

not a pretty sight at all!

hubby thinks it's cool. thankfully he is totally into me being pregnant and wants to know everything (as long as I don't try to make him read it in a book!). he says it is just my body getting ready to be a mommy.

nevermind
