Not a good idea!
In my experience so far, I'm 6 weeks along, you should be eating at maintenance level for the first trimester. If you consume less than that, you're not giving your body and therefore your baby the nourishment he needs to grow. You could be putting yourself at risk for a miscarriage. Best to do what's right for the next 9 months and then try to get your body back into shape! From what I'm being told, the second trimester requires 200-300 additional calories and in the third trimester a total of 500 calories more. Of course everyone is different as are our doctors so the information I receive may not be exactly what you receive.
Please, don't diet while you're pregnant! Just gain reasonably!
Dieting during pregnancy is not a good idea as flgirl said.
If you diet, you are risking the chance that your baby will not get the proper nutrients that it needs. It is not worth it.
But really, the best person to talk to about it is your doctor.

Here is an article that may be helpful:
Ask your health care provider how much weight you should gain during pregnancy. A woman of average weight before pregnancy should gain 25 to 35 pounds during pregnancy. Underweight women should gain 28-40 pounds during pregnancy. Overweight women may need to gain only 15-25 pounds during pregnancy. You may need to gain more or less weight, depending on what your health care provider recommends.

25 to 35 pounds Is It Safe to Lose Weight When Pregnant? No. It is never safe to lose weight during pregnancy -- both you and your baby need the proper nutrients in order to be healthy.
