I could not find a group for pregnant mommy's that have to deal with the ups and downs of gestational diabetes. So I figured why not start a group, and even when I have my son, I still can support others that have a hard time with it too.

Get started by telling us a little bit about yourself!

Hi, my name is Heather and I am pregnant with my fourth child.  This is the third time I have had to deal with gestational diabetes.  So you are probably wondering, haven't you gotten used to it by now.  No I haven't,  unlike the other pregnancies, I really cared about staying healthy and doing things like not drinking soda anymore for the health of my unborn child, with no avail, I still wound up with gestational diabetes.  What hurts so bad this time is the fact that I actually crave chocolate.  I didn't with the other two.  I also crave FRIED potatoes, another no no in the world of diabetes.  So what do I do, I count my CARBS, and in turn count my Calories too, but as the nutritionist says "It's not a diet!"  So if you are like me and just want some support from others, join up and we can discuss it.
