pregnant but started out overweight!

I`m 5`6 and I started this pregnancy overweight at 158 lbs. I started rapidly gaining because I love to eat! The doctor recommended to gain 15 to 25 lbs since I started out overweight. My account says I should eat 1800 cal. a day is that including the 300 cal/day for baby?

yup thats included. The only way you're allowed to eat more is if you are exercising (walking, swimming, etc.) Make sure your NET cals are 1800 every day and if you notice you are gaining too fast then cut back a few hundred calories or walk a few more miles each week. Keep moving to keep the baby healthy! Good luck!
I suggest talking to your doctor with these questions. Though, it's great to get others insight nobody knows your body better than your personal doctor. Don't feel badly about asking questions. Doctors are paid to give you the answers you want/need. Plus, your doctor has a record of your family history. Ect.

It really depends on the woman. Just eat healthy and follow your doctors instructions.

I could tell you walking is good for pregnant women ect. But, I don't want to tell you to do something that strains you. There are different factors that come into play. You may have cravings for extra calcium the baby needs ect.  So long as you're generally eating healthy, I'm sure you will be fine. You can even google your questions online. But, I really hope you confirm your answers through your doctor. It's important for you and baby.

Congrats!
