How do you prepare PB2?

Quote  |  Reply
I just bought PB2 and should be receiving it in a few days. I see that "2 tablespoons" is 54 calories. Is that 2 tablespoons of the powder, of 2 tablespoons after you mix it with water? Also, how much water are supposed to mix it with? Do you mix the entire thing with water or just the amount you're using at that specific time? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

As a side note, I like having plain oatmeal in the morning. If I took my plain oatmeal, adding like a tablespoon of the PB2 and then added water, how would that taste? Or would I have to prepare the PB2 first and then add it to the oatmeal?

You mix 1 tablespoons of water to every 2 tablespoons of PB2. A little less water will make it creamy, but too much will water it down for sure. You mix it as you use it.

As for your side note, it should be yummy :) My ex used to throw it in his protein shakes.

I put PB2 in my oatmeal all the time.  I find that a couple of teaspoons is plenty to flavor the whole bowl.  I don't mix it before putting it in--I just put in the powder and add a little extra water to the oatmeal to accommodate it.  Then I mix it up really well.  It is excellent like this with some chopped banana added in.  That's what I had yesterday, in fact. :)

I just ordered! I hope it's good!!

I ordered it, and so far not very impressed. I tried it on a bagel, and I couldn't taste the 1 serving I made. It was a small Perfect 10 bagel also. I tried mixing it in to almond oatmeal, but couldn't taste it either. I will try with plain one. First by mixing it in, and then just by adding it on top. If anything it made me realize how much I miss peanut butter. I think I am just going to go out and buy a regular or that Better then Peanut Butter brand of PB.
