I like Ice Cream Wayyyy Too much.

I always pic the healthy alternatives tho..Edy's Fat Free No Sugar Added flavors..or sugar free frozen yogurt..orr soft serve..

but i am admitting i think its become a problem..seriously. not to mention i want it DAILY. but today...TODAY! I ATE 3 Ice Cream Cones..each at about 150 cals-200 cals..

that when i knew i had to do something..

I dont want to CUT ice cream out of my diet cuz i LOVEEEE it<33

BUT i do want to cut down, ALOT..
on the positive side.. im sensible bout what i chose calories/nutrition wise
on the negative side..I over did it.

Im so upset right now. im trying to look good for going swimming / hot tub with my boyfriend this next 3 days at this hotel.. i wanna be COMFORTABLE. i feel so down right now.

please..dont dump on me about how stupid i am for eating 3 ice creams cones, or how i over did it, or how i shouldnt want/eat it so much..

all im lookin for is support to get me outta wanting and eating it so often,i want to be healthier.

I think it happens to most of us with one food or another at some point...... Maybe your body is just craveing calcium and vitamin d....... and to you that means ice cream......either way don't feel alone or so down on yourself!!!!!!
Dude. Today I had 500 calories worth of Fat Free No Sugar Added Ice Cream.  I absolutely love ice cream.

Apart from that I had Oatmeal for breakfast, (150 cals,) an Asian Pear for a snack, (100 cals,) two fat free hotdogs with ketchup (100 cals,) one slice light bread, (40) and a large salad with dressing (150) for lunch. For dinner I had a mountain of steamed vegetables, and 2 oz. grilled chicken (250 together.)

The reason I'm telling you all this is: I ate 1290 calories today. I'm going to lose weight, and I get to eat two and a half cups of ice cream too. You don't have to choose one or the other. Just make it work! You can fit pretty much anything into your allotted  amount calories.

We should totally be ice cream buddies.
I gained over 50 pounds since we moved to a house that's a five second walk to Braum's ice cream. I LOVE ice cream and I cannot handling having it around or I'll eat it. We have always bought light, low fat, or frozen yogurt, but that doesn't help when you eat TOO MUCH! So, we've decided that we can't bring it home EVER again. I've had a scoop at a special occasion like someone's birthday party, but that's it since I've started CC. We are going to stick to this rule! Although it will probably harder when it gets hot out. I am trying things like sugar free pudding, cottage cheese with fruit, lowfat yogurt to replace it. I feel your pain but ice cream will make you gain!
I totally understand, I am addicted to ice cream.  I had to stop eating ice cream because I would eat a huge bowl every night.  The withdrawls were the worst.  I craved it.  My weight gain was because of ice cream.  I have not had ice cream in three months.  Good luck!

Atleast you can admit it, that's a good thing. I don't keep it in my house because I know I would eat it if it were around and I figure if I really want it I'm going to have to go walk out in the cold to get one. I rarely want to do that so it works for me.

Occassionally I will buy frozen treats like fudgesicles. Just make a better decision by buying frozen yogurt or the no sugar ones and limit it to once a day. You can work it into your calories and that way you never have to give it up.

And don't worry about indulging on 3 today, you don't do it everyday, just treat it as a one time thing and make a pact with yourself that you will only have one a day.

I love ice cream as well, but I haven't been eating it as much lately.  My body's been craving other things.   As long as you measure out a serving and limit it to once a day, it can fit into your calories.  You could also try getting yourself into a routine where you have it every other day, and on the in-between days have a lower-calorie frozen fruit bar, or something of that nature.  The point of changing how you eat is to realize that you really CAN have most anything, as long as it's in moderation.  Be strong!

I, too, love icecream, but I knew I HAD to cut back.  Here's what worked for me.

I didn't go the "healthy" route--I went the exact opposite.  I buy one pint of the richest, best, (and pretty much the most expensive) icecream I can find.  Three ingredients only: cream, vanilla, sugar.   For me, it's Oberweis, but I believe that a regional brand.  I found that eating icecream THAT rich and decedant, a little goes a long way.  I eat no more than one small scoop (about a 1/4 cup or even less) and I eat it slowly in very small bites, savoring each one.   Part of it is psychological, most likely.  Knowing it's expensive, and "the good stuff", makes it even more satisfying and indulgent.  I eat that several times a week, having made room for the fat and calories in the nutritional budget for the day.

The same thing worked for chocolate.
