Problem can anyone help solve it Soya protein why wont recipe analyzer recognise this ingredient when its in the food lists?
Hi been counting calories since Febuary, but everytime I add a new recipe and it contains soya protien mince dryweight or soya protien chunks dryweight when I add it as a list of ingredients it always comes out red flag and not recognised. I have tried adding it in several ways as follows but all stay red and unrecognised and I end up adding it to my food log seperately:
5 oz Sainbury's soya chunks, dryweight
5 oz Sainsbury's soya mince, dryweight
5 oz soya mince
5 oz soya chunks
5 oz mince, soya, dryweight
5 oz chunks, soya, dryweight
5 oz texturised vegetable protien, mince
5 oz texturised vegetable protein, chunks
5 oz T.V.P soya mince, dryweight
5 oz T.V.P soya chunks, dryweight ...........................etc etc, but nothing apart from a red flag. Can you help me crack it so my recipes are properly analysed?
There must be a way of adding to a recipe, but I am stumped what else to write or do to get it recognised. Also this is the case of toad in the hole when I add the sausages, they are in the food lists, but can not add it to a recipe it too stays as a red flag and unrecognised the same as Quorn chicken style pieces and other things like it. Its now very irritating and would love to be able for my recipes to be accurate. Can anyone shine a light on this problem?
Thanks astralhippy aka Sue
there are a couple of things that might help, they usually (but not always) help me when I get the evil red flag!
put the # of the ingredient behind the listing in these parentheses [79686] (that is the number for the soya btw -- you can find it on the end of the url (sainsburys-soya-i79686)
on items that come up as single servings on the nutrition facts I sometimes find I need to enter the weight in grams and that helps too.
3 ounces (84g) soya chunks [79686]
I just tried analyzing the above with both changes and it worked! Hope it helps!
